Well i thought i knew what i was doing at the time. My box actually has a pretty good foundation though Yeah i know but i was GUARANTEED that the plywood, if braced right, wouldn't move an inch. Even though i tried explaining to him that he doesn't quite understand that my subs were being underpowered and the box will flex. But he wouldn't listen so i kinda wanted to do it his way so he could see that he was wrong. But now i realize that now i just will have a shitty box. EDIT: We still did plan though, just not correctly. Just half an inch Hey man there's a first time for everything I'm not ragging on ya. Hopefully you can get everything in order and make it work.

I guess i understand that and i know how it's done i just don't know if i have room to do it and i am not sure if it can work with a removable port... Yeah yeah. Well we planned a port and we assumed that we had enough space. I apologize for not having everything exact going into this. This is my first box/wall build ever, so i am learning as i go. Why does it have to be MDF? What difference does that make rather then using plywood? I know plywood is more flexible but that's about it. Also, with the port, we made it interchangeable so that way once we mess up the port we can build another one. Because i knew i was going to mess it up some how. I have been asking people questions about what i need and this and that i could never really get a solid response so i just went for it Sounds like you tried building a house before laying the foundation. Plywood is flexible, less dense. I wouldn't want my box, port flexing while the drivers are playing, would you?

Can you just not use it? It is really a bad material for a box. You should switch to just mdf. The only thing is i have already put the box into my car and there is pretty much no way to pull it out with breaking it down. I wouldn't have a problem with that normally but we have put a lot of work into it and i know my build partner doesn't have enough time to start over given his schedule Going to have to bend it. Before doing anything else I'd recommend posting everything you plan to do up here as it seems like there are some issues. What do you mean bend it? The thing i plan to do is to double layer it with i guess MDF now, then add bracing on top of that to hold the box together, then fiberglass. Also making another removable port for my box and tune it down to 32. With the layering and bracing, i will be sitting at 14 cubes. Right now though, i am sitting at 17 Your going to have to bend the port like an "L" so you can have more port length then 12"...

Fixored Nick, the leads don't last forever, they are woven wire so they can only be snapped back and forth for so long before they finally snap. Win. OP, send it to AA / FI as stated by others.

What kind of problems? Some are trying to disrespect me, by telling anything bad they can about me, and about the ssa woofers ! Saying they heared too much about them, they only plays low notes,...But I don't mind ! I let them speak with their Audiopipe and Audiotop woofers in tiny ported boxes with hazardous tuning !!! Very few people have great sounding bass in their car, so they are jealous when they heared something amazing ! Kinda surprised they haven't stolen your shit.

Only those who bum rides Right now I just have some coaxial hertz 5 1/4"s in the front doors and some pioneer tweeters in the front dash, all on head unit power. I'm fully aware these will be drowned out, I just put them in to replace stock speakers for the time being. Moving to a new house with lots of space in a couple weeks. I plan on doing a lot of glassing (learning), until I'm comfortable doing my doors. Thinking about two sets of AA mids per front door and seas tweeters in the dash.

Only thing is I already have $600 tied up in my current dc alt, so I'm hoping they'll just swap cases and it won't cost me much. Otherwise I'll need to cut my losses, sell it, and go elsewhere. I'll wait 3 months and see what dc can do, then I'll go from there.

Yep an iPad with Internet No fancy dash integration tho, my hu doesn't support the iPod cable so I'm just using an aux, but what ever lol Sic Norma is going to do a fiberglass dash install in his truck pretty soon! Should be really cool.
