So I almost finished the other door, but didn't do any test fit to make sure it wouldn't hit the dash when the door closed... Whatdoya know? It hits... Gah, I'm going to consider this a good learning experience. In the following weeks I'll redo both doors, final, for real. Any way here's some pics of the other side, until I found out it didn't clear, LOL.

I'm half way through doing the other door, starting to get sick of it, back aches from being hunched over for four hours

Just a old cotton shirt, Although fleece may be easier to stretch / work with. Dont use fleece, I was reading Ponte is a better fabric to work with. It is what swimsuits are made out of and they carry them at fabric stores (just a heads up). I'll have to buy some next time and try it out.

Nice little extra electrical system setup in the back I bought an extra one to help out on the voltage until I can get a new alt, seems I'll have to buy another pretty soon. Now that I've started glassing I'm thinking what else I could try I still need to get the hang of it tho, perhaps some A-pillar tweeter pods

Okay so I thought about doing the fiberglass all the way to end of the pocket, then decided I'll try and make it smaller so I can still use the pocket area, and make the edge of baffle slant down... So we'll see how this turns out. If it works I'll redo the other door to match, or start all over and fill the entire pocket...

Box is sick! Bolted down, even better. Even adds a little industrial look

Nice! I like the slant, fits perfectly behind seat

(4) Custom Fi 18's (4) AP30001Ds 45 cubic feet 20" port @ 24Hz

I never said anything about it being bad. I could be full of shit, but I don't see any difference in terms of dangerous vibration to the amps if the amps are mounted inside the box or outside. After all a speaker creates two waves, one goes into the box and is trapped (sealed) so there's no cancellation and the other goes into the cabin pressurizing the air. Or the backwave goes into an enclosure and out through a port... Either way, to me I would think the pressure in the cabin vs pressure in the box would be close, so it wouldn't make a whole lot of a difference to your equipment. -

Looks like it, wonder if he climbs through one of the holes when the subwoofers aren't in, or if he can open up the back? -
Build a wood box around it, use L brackets to screw the box down into the metal floor. Just make sure your not screwing into the gas tank.

Mess of a garage lol.

Ya I agree. Im contemplating filling the otherside and just redoing this one later. I think I will...

I should have made the fiberglass go all the way to the corner, instead of stopping short a few inches, original plan was to shave it down and try and make it flush... yeah wasn't happening Still need to mount the baffle / pod to door panel. I don't think it came out GREAT, but good enough for now. Time to mount it and move on to next side. I'll post more pictures in a couple days once I get my cross overs in and put the doors back on.

Haha thanks, after Tirefryr told me it doesn't do anything, I bought a respirator Me too! Just bought some pleather and foam.
-
Hmm, maybe its more of a baffle stretched to an end vs a actual pod. Once I wrap it in pleather I could probably screw it down from the back. Or that's the plan
-
Not hundred percent sure, I know I can do screws from behind the door panels into the speaker baffle area. As for the left side where it's fb and no wood, perhaps lay down some two part epoxy? Any tips? I'm going to see how well this one fits on the panel, if it's close I'll finish it up, if not I may just make a new baffle and start over again

Sorry, i have no idea what you mean lol. Any score difference on the TL, from old kenwood to the audiopipe? Does the dildo come off the top? Jw Not tested yet. I will be taking this setup, hopefully plus a corrected box to the April 9th show. So we will see. I don't know anyone other then Justin that has a shop, and then going further, i don't think he has a TL just yet... Good one bro. Probably but i won't be taking it off. It doesn't look that bad to me April 9th show? hmm, maybe I'll make it.

Pulled off door panel, did another layer of resin and mat. Tomorrow lots of sanding and bondo!

Why not call them or even try an email? It varies which way is the best / fastest way to get a hold of them. Sometimes it's calling, another day by emailing, and another by forum. At least in my experience. -
Is this good enough for fiberglassing, http://www.lowes.com/pd_64485-98-R8511-2_0__?productId=1191497&Ntt=respirator&pl=1¤tURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Drespirator Or, http://www.lowes.com/pd_69598-98-R6211_0__?productId=1097909&Ntt=respirator&pl=1¤tURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Drespirator

Me too! I'm hoping after I get a couple more layers, sand it, bondo, and wrapped in vinyl / pleather that it looks somewhat decent Well then I'll take it off so I don't look like a fool, and go buy a respirator, thanks
-
I honestly don't know what I'm doing, just jumping in Going to add a couple more layers tonight, let it dry, tomorrow try and do some bondo / sanding
-
hmmm? I had some tang band 6 1/2s just laying in my room, figured I could try and make'm fit in my doors, if they suck I'll replace them with something else when I can afford it
