You have to start somewhere... Not going to learn if you don't ever try it. I'm not saying you need it, but it may improve your listening experience. Same thing could be said to someone trying to build an enclosure, and people tell them if you don't know what your doing you should just pay someone to build it properly. Or you could learn by trial and error. Obviously you could damage your speakers or worsen the frequency response if used incorrectly, just don't be a nut and use some common sense. Just my thoughts.

I think it can be used to get a more flat response across the sound spectrum. Whether it be raising the level in one frequency region and lowering it in another.

Yes i have called him and talk with him every other day or so. But he is very busy with the new place, and making sure it is all setup correctly. Fail. Wow, my bad. I was using mobile version of the forum and it didn't show the title description. So I couldn't see any reference to a driver. What are the ssds rated for 600watt? Any way, you can wire the 2500d down to 2ohms, just be easy on the gain, look for signs of stress, feel dustcap / cone for heat, any smell of coil, etc. And when I say wire down to 2ohms and throw an ssd on it, I mean setting the gain correctly for the scenario, I am NOT saying "yeah the ssd will take 1200watts no problem, do it man!" It really sounds like you need to switch drivers and move up to a bl or btl. Wouldn't want to cook the ssd when trying to get a little more output...

Sell and switch to zcons or n2s That is if the wait is going to be a year...
