I would use a ported enclosure and I probably wouldn't use 4 8"s for the sake of cost (2 12s would have a little more cone area and cost around half as much), but perhaps the 8s fit better in the trunk? 4th order bandpass won't offer any more output over a ported enclosure (okay it might but it'll be a tiny amount more over a limited frequency range) and it'll have have a shorter bandwidth. As to the bullet points you made above: there is no relationship between port area and enclosure volume, there is no correct "ratio" for chamber volumes, and shortening the port length merely raises the tuning frequency--which could be good or bad, but without context is meaningless advice.

Everything you described is a recipe for poor results. Its absolutely no different then walking down the street and asking someone "hey pick two numbers" "okay good i got my chamber volumes down, just gotta get a number for porr area and length and ill be good to go." Sorry if that comes across as being harsh, but i want it to be made clear.

What a shitty week. Few days ago I started having to go to the bathroom a LOT, eg every few minutes. I figured whatever the fuck it is it'll go away, nope! So last night I wait until 9pm to go to the hospital hoping the wait will be less, end up waiting in the fucking bathroom since I literally have to go every few minutes for 3 hours until I'm called back then all they do for the next three hours is rotate between people asking me the same basic questions, taking my vitals, and touching my balls. It's 4am and they tell me I don't have a UTI which I already had tested earlier that day and tell me to go home. Nurse even said "sounds like more of a nuisance than anything." Unless I start wearing a fucking catheter I can't fucking do ANYTHING. Had an exam today that I powered through and the only reason I managed it is because I hadn't had any liquids for like twelve hours otherwise I would have pissed myself on question 1. FUCK. FUCK. FUCK. Scheduled an appointment with urologist, earliest is oct. FUCK. *runs to bathroom"

How the heck do they manage 38mpg? It's a damn truck with a 3.0 diesel, it's heavy, it's not aerodynamic. I looked at the 05-08 Grand Cherokee, similar engine but it won't go over 27mpg bone-stock. I bet it's a tad lighter than the Ram 1500. The cherokee doesnt even get 27mpg.

Would any of this change based upon the state of the H2O? J Nope. Only difference between states is thermal energy. Between 0C and 100C the thermal energy is about equal to the hydrogen bonding energy between water molecules, so water is constantly making and breaking hydrogen bonds to other water molecules, this is why it's a liquid between those temps. At high temp thermal energy is greater than the hydrogen bonding between water molecules so instead of constant bonding between one another they disperse into a vapor. On the flip side if you cool water down enough then the thermal energy is lower than the hydrogen bonding so the water molecules align for the best hydrogen bonding and aren't fucked with. This is what gives in perfect conditions snowflakes their geometry.

So water with extra H- electrodes does not have a different "frequency"? The water should contain electric energy, so in theory that would change if extra H molecules are introduced. Another hydrogen atom (proton, H+) added to water becomes hydronium (H3O+) which has different geometry and characteristics than water. I'm not sure what you mean by frequency of a molecule? Molecules have specific vibrational frequencies that are excited when the molecules absorb corresponding energy. E.g. Infrared spectroscopy sends energy in the infrared region through a test sample and reads the energy on the other side. The difference in energy shows where the molecule absorbed energy and these regions can be used for identifying parts of the structure of the compound. Take ethanol for example, it has a hydroxyl group -OH, a hydrogen bonded to a oxygen, which is known to have a frequency of excitation near 3400cm^-1 Which this IR spectra of ethanol shows: In NMR nuclear magnetic resonance (same principle as mri machines) energy of a higher wavelength is used to disturb spin states of nuclei in atoms and by measuring this disturbance's effect to a magnetic field one can further identify parts of the structure of the compound. As another example the hydroxyl group absorbs energy in the 2.5 - 5.0ppm region (parts per million is used instead of wavelength because nmr machines operate at different frequencies with differing magnetic strengths).
