Dude! It says zero comprises right there.

Maybe a single enclosure with 1 8, 1 10, 1 12, 1 15. Then you can say "see, they can all hit the same notes!? *clap* *clap* *clap* Yippie!" rofl. I would say the average setup is 2 12s. So you could expand on that through the enclosure and power. Pardon my French, but then them bitches can go "Ah shit my twelves don't hit like that, ah shit ah shit." Just a thought.

It's not very impressive to be loud with a shit load of drivers because it's not really that hard. Whether it's a trunk car or not. Just saying. I know if it was me, I would be much more impressed with a few drivers and high output then a ton of drivers and even higher output. But that's always the debate with show cars...

That's stupid. A huge waste of money on a shit ton of drivers. You can't use any of the space above the enclosure, just more cabin volume to pressurize. Mine as well just fucking wall the thing.

Since your sticking with sundown gear, get some sa8s. Do a bunch of experimenting with enclosure volume, port positioning and firing position and just work on getting it loud as hell for what it is. Tuning high, experimentation with enclosures and your sexuality, 4 sa8s, lots of power, and I bet it would impress anyone that gets a demo.

Anything that competes with the SA-8?

Wow, great responses already. Thanks for all the input guys. I should clarify. I HAD a DCON in my old car (scion tc, hatchback). I sold that setup. I'm assuming that my new car (Passat) has a trunk and is larger, I'll need a decent chunk more sub. On second or third thought I may be able to expand my Depth dimension to about 13-15 inch by following the above idea (about 2ft^3). Since both of the subs I liked really want a ported enclosure and we aren't sure I have enough volume for that. What are some good sealed subs in 10 or 8 that work for about 2 ft^3. Or would one 10 in a ~2ft^3 ported enclosure trump 2 10 or 2 8's in a sealed? If you could manage the additional depth then you could probably net volume around the optimal specs for a 10" dcon in a ported enclosure. One 10" in 2ft^3 ported enclosure theoretically on paper should have the same output as two 10" in 2ft^3 sealed enclosure. Assuming your using the same drivers in comparisons. So you can guess that 2 8s in 2ft^3 sealed would have less output then the 2 10s sealed or 1 10 ported. (generalization) I would figure out your max dimensions though, with 100% certainty, otherwise advice on misinformation isn't very helpful.

Um he was with his kid and so was I. No one was bothering him, so I did not feel it was appropriate. That and he is a good foot taller, so a much longer reach in the process. Next time you see him, ask him if he'll stay there and play for the Os. He did want to sign here, but the Yankee's offered more. Texieria, another MD boy, did the same thing. My buddy Joe gave me shit for not going up to Burnett today. I said I did not want to be the ass that brought attention to a Baltimore native that plays for the enemy in the heart of bird land...... *Point* "Hey hey hey! Your that guy..." aww fuck here we go again.

Have you looked into pricing for renting a mixer for the day? I can't imagine it being too expensive and I'm sure it would make your life a whole lot easier. Don't think the vitamix is gonna cut it--this time.

If owning more than 50 of his albums says yes, then yes. So you sorta listen to him then. If I downloaded all 50 albums tonight then I guess we would both be equal listeners. I was just running through some "SQ Tracks" threads and found some of his stuff.

OP, Is there any way you could have the width and depth of the box stay under the width and depth of the panel that lifts for the spare tire area? Then Mount it to that panel (depending on the material), worst comes to worst you could still raise the panel for access. Just thinking about any other ways that might give you some more volume for a box, otherwise your pretty restricted on options.

That's a little extreme. Sure it's a fantastic driver with tons of output, hell I loved mine. But for someone wanting a little more output then a 10" in a sealed enclosure, why not try a ported enclosure to start off with.

Why don't you port the dcon? I would consider going from a 10" driver to a 8" driver is a downgrade as far as output is concerned, cone area for the win.

Ah, I am pouring a sink/countertop and mixing the sand, rock and portland cement AND color which means I have to mix the living shit out of it. I don't own a wheel barrow either and have to have a big enough container to do it in one pour. Was hoping you had something clever that would relay to that Thanks though. I would advise you to get a concrete mixer in that case. I despise mixing concrete and would rather buy it ready for pouring or hire a mixer. Life is so much easier with a mixer. I was going to use the Vitamix. Actually I had thought a mixer was a good plan. Was hoping to not pay to rent it though. *out of curiosity since I will mix too much, what do you do with the leftover when you do that? I usually find a place for extra concrete around the yard. You won't mix way too much if mixers are the size of the ones here. Got a bunch of blocks and puddles of concrete scattered around the yard?

Counter tops and sinks in bathrooms. Also built his entire house, super modern. Ill ask him today and see what he says.

Pouring smoke under boost means he's not doing it right. Smoke does not mean power. i think it just has something to do with how the mod works.. once the boost builds up enough it stops smoking. in a very nonscientific test we measured a 0-60mph time of ~10sec, my friend said it was closer to 13-14 before. the mod consist of bridging a potentiometer across 2 pins on the fuel harness. here's something from a tdi forum "...what is happening is that the 10-pin connector (joining the main wire from the ECU to the Injection Pump) is being hot-wired into producing a different voltage, which alters or magnifies the ECU's signal in a similar manner that a Tuning Box does. This increases the amount of fuel the injection pump pushes and advances the timing..." You probably trick the engine into thinking it gets more air that it actually getting. Stupid mod and no way it will shave 3-4 sec off the 0-60 time. It will overfuel whenever he's off-boost. Hello high EGTs. Retune, bigger injectors nozzles, bigger intercooler (stock one is a joke) and bigger exhaust for starters. Now that's how you would go about modding a TDI, not with a resistor. What he said. Not to mention black smoke (aka soot) is toxic to the lungs and the environment. A well tuned diesel should make none, or at least very little off-boost The diesel we had, made no visible black smoke unless you really stepped on it, and even so it wasn't a huge death cloud.
