OEM speakers are tailored to work well in their environment, not sure what advantages you would gain by running them active.Better control over what is sent to them. They instantly sounded better as soon as I put my radio in. Then switching to Active made it even better. I understand a better head unit, amplifier, but what crossover changes and slopes have you made, and how did you come to them, trial and error? I've done a similar application and haven't had any issues--yet. You could look into a battery isolator too.

not sure what good it would have done if he would have.. i have no clue what would be good/great and would would be poor/shit Internals will affect efficiency and longevity, soldering may not stand up well against high amperage, and depending on how its wired delta, wye, will effect idle output and max output. I think the table saw is what I really couldn't get my hands on. I didn't have one for a while and couldn't make straight cuts with the jigsaw, totally sucked if I tried making an enclosure. Finally got a tablesaw a while back, this is first time I actually used it for something.
