So your suggesting that those of us with high output alternators that charge at 14.9-15v need to have our charging voltage lowered? Thanks for response Nathan.

Yep, the road was all clear. They showed me the axle and the end with all the grooves, the last half inch broke off. I've cornered hard into this turn for months now, so I guess it finally caught up to me and bit me in the ass.

Oh and I picked up the volvo today. I broke the axle, a small bit of it was broken in the tranny, but after a few hours they were able to fish it out and save me the cost of a new tranny. So now I know, I shouldn't drive my volvo like a sports car.

Sure is. I got the package and it had a big ass lump on the side. Opened it up and the driver was pitched to one side, thankfully everything looks good. If ever I decide to get stupid loud again I can just order another.

I certainly wouldn't let the 8ohm config steer you away, 4ohm and 8ohm would allow for various setups such as one per door, or some nut with 50 per door. From the initial reading and posts, I'm guessing high sensitivity, so even with an 8ohm config they'll still get loud. Now midbass output, that's completely different (regardless of coil config). Correct me if I'm wrong Jacob.

oh i guess mine DID ship. i had to click on details to see that. They're supposed to be here monday so I'll see how they sound monday night hopefully What type/size of enclosure are you putting them in? Your going to love them.

I think they come precharged and say they don't need it, but if they do need to be charged they say to use a agm type charger. But, I'm not sure what's so special about a agm charger vs a normal charger, verse an alternator charging it. When I got my xs power batt, I just threw it on our regular everyday charger. I would use the lowest amperage setting, takes longer to charge, but it's better.

Actually get work done? J Yeah actually. I still need to write two papers and study for calc, all due on tuesday. Surprisingly I'm not worried about calc but having major writers block, tomorrow morning I'm gonna sit down and just fucking get it done. Or that's the plan.

I do it when I'm certain of their name, sometimes I forget and get names mixed up so then I just refer to their username. I always laugh when people misspell my name considering it's right there on the screen. (especially in emails).

I just wondered, since I like to respect others, but also enjoy loud listening volumes at time, thankfully that's easy to do in a car 80% of the time.

I've had 6 ported 15in subs at one point in my room. They had plenty of output but just didnt have the presence my dual 18's do. I'm curious as I've never been in a big HT setup, can you hear it or feel it outside your house? Just curious if it presents any problems with neighbors, or if pretty much just stays inside the house. Sorry for going off topic.

That's what I'm hoping for. After describing the even to the shop there thinking something along those lines, hopefully it's under $700.00 and not a few g for a tranny.

I pulled over, put it in park but the car kept rolling, so its not engaging? Your tranny is toast or there is an electrical issue. No idea what all is electrically controlled in that. I knew what you meant by driveshaft. I also knew what he meant, just that I don't refer to driveshafts in singular when it comes to FWD You could have damaged a CV....turn the wheels and look there for something out of place. Yes, but that wouldn't affect his parking nor his issue with throttle input and no forward response. Of course he could have snapped both axles but that's unlikely unless he is not being honest about his driving. I was cornering hard and during acceleration there was intermittent traction. Caught some traction heard clunk, let off throttle, came out of turn, gave it some gas and rpms went up, but car did not accelerate (coasting slower and slower). I put it in neutral and coasted to side of the road, once completely stopped I put it in park, left off brake and the car started to roll forward so I put the emergency brake on. The car is low to the ground so I can't see much under it, but I could see a small puddle of oil near the passenger side (around the cv joint / axle area). Steering seems to be fine, but I only made a slight turn to get off the road, not a U-turn. Tow truck picked it up and it's going to the local volvo repair shop.
