something respiratory.. everything your doing is to sooth a trout,.if it has been over a week with out getting better you need a chest Xray Im going to wait a bit longer before going to the doctors. We just raised the deductible to lower the monthly cost. Shit is ridiculous, 900bucks for two people 80/20 plan.

I've had this terrible cough for the last three days, have no choice but to cough every minute or so. Lungs are sore, sleeping is impossible. I've drank tea all day, been taking cough drops, having soup, and feel the same. On the bright side, I've managed to read one book everyday.

The xcon is an outstanding driver, but it's also in a different price bracket then a new icon, or a pair of used dcons. You have a camaro, and I tell you a Lambo is faster.

I would be getting the custom enclosure and let my friend build it for me. I'd still be using a 1500watt audiopipe amp. Is that to much? As long as you have enough space for a proper enclosure, your good. Headroom is your friend, you will be gaining down the amplifier, so no it won't be too much power. Dcons are always overlooked because their price point, but don't let that sway you away, they sound great, and with that much cone area, they should still get excessively loud.

You should think before you speak.

Assuming you have enough volume for the dcons, and the enclosure alignments are the same, the dcons have more cone area, and more then likely yield more output.

The V40 Rebuild, Front Stage Only. Update: Rear cargo area.

Heh, with a little help from everyone deciding what to do and how to do it, I'm very pleased with it. I'm going to redo the kicks, use some plumbers tape so I can reposition the drivers easily, throw towel behind for back wave, and get giggity. -

Your signature is fucking HUGE. I have a big screen and I still have to scroll and scroll to see the next post. -

Okay I just ran out and made this video, sorta boring but what ever. -
In my setup, I noticed break up on the ex-anarchy when crossing over at 2500hz, even with a 24 db slope.

the "generally accepted rule" is bs, it depends on the driver used. It comes down to the tuning frequency of the enclosure, area of port, and acoustic power output from driver.

Go for it! One thing I'll mention, I've gotten a lot of crap about how the amps & processor don't get enough air flow and yada yada yada, but with the heatsinks all being flush with top panel, they dissipate heat no differently then if the top panel weren't there, after all heat rises. So I wouldn't be worried if that was of any concern. I never really finished the kick panels: I'm planning on making new ones, hopefully a bit better this time. Going to spend more time aiming, and calculating some other stuff out. I wanted a flatter frequency response, and went with the 18" so it would have a little extra output when desired. Thanks, hopefully my next kick panels will actually be something I can show off heh. -

It's all I got. I'm using L-Brackets on the left hand side and rear side of enclosure, doesn't budge, and still looks somewhat decent. Haven't decided yet how I'm going to finish the box, that and I'm waiting on some funds. If I can find my camera around the house, I'm going to make a video showing some slight vehicle flex from a sealed box, figured it'd be good for advertising and stuff. -
i see what your saying but actually when i drive i keep my seats folded up when i'm driving then fold them down at shows Don't worry about it, there just a bunch of haters, mad cause your loud. I don't even have my seats bolted down in my car!

I'm currently using some Peerless HDS tweets with my ex-anarchies, and they can be crossed over relatively low (~1500hz), that would definitely give you a fair amount of headroom for your XO point. It's the only tweeter I've messed with so I don't have any other input on the others. Tweeter isn't harsh to the ear, sounds quite natural, but it can certainly play loud enough to where it bugs my ears more then bass ever can.

This is only for people who don't play video games. I kid. I'll let you know when I know.

sound cool, let me know. Once I get a few payments in I'll probably just grab a 10 slot server with a password. So hopefully in a week or two.

Literally. hater Ugly is loud, and the inside don't matter.

Why "daily" systems should not count on impedance rise
ssh replied to sundownz's topic in Sundown Audio
But at what cost? yea true that! but why do they keep saying that box rise they go from .77 to like 1.4 ect.. is that even true or what?? When your competing, things change. Imagine how a car running at a drag strip may be tuned verse a daily driver. In competing your looking for that little extra, and your runs are pretty short (burps). Often times people will use sine waves, the signal doesn't change, the impedance will rise and peak somewhere, and you can measure that impedance. Couple things you can deduct: The burps done are short, so the amplifier is not being stressed for very long. Secondly, the impedance quickly rises, likely to a "stable" or considered safe region, and isn't going back down until the run is done. -
