  1. tweets do look nice but they fall pretty hard 10-15k range... Not sure how much that would matter though.... and they are %165 a pop.... *** unless directly on-axis ... I wouldn't worry too much about that.

I fucking hate prestigious art fags. Stefan should put on a black turtle neck, fedora, argyle scarf, and start snapping off rhythm. ^ this... "We've tried nothing, and we're all out of ideas man!" None of the girls in my class look like her, what a jip.

IF the experience matches it is way more important. A degree is a huge plus and a filter for many HR departments though Now that being said, is it better to be working your way to a degree with a decently known school when you apply, or better to buy a diploma from a 'college'?? J Can't compare an apple and an orange. If you mean first reaction to your resume, the better school wins, if you mean in an interview that will depend on you. Wear long sleeves, cover tats.

I fucking hate prestigious art fags. Stefan should put on a black turtle neck, fedora, argyle scarf, and start snapping off rhythm. I use to have a friend who was really into art, he was in the art class with the serious teacher, while I had the "goof off" class. I would always bop in his class and tell him: "Oh that's so artsy!" He would get so pissed.

I feel like such an asshole walking around with this big fancy portfolio case for art class. Fake art snob.

Hehe. I didn't know it was this weekend until today. I still don't know how played.

wow good to know.. thanks for the warning... lets see what the OP has to say about this I doubt he will return.

That's pretty cool actually. I should setup some speakers on low volume, and play that at night.

    Dcon popping noise.

But the gain is set 1/4th the way up. It's hardly turned up. If I turn it down anymore, It hardly even hits. We tuned the amp with a DMM also. The gain position does not necessarily dictate power output, depending on the input voltage, you could have the gain all the way down with full power.

Wow, I completely overlooked the amp, and it's output.

    Zcon 15 or 18

Difference in SQ between 15" and 18", no, but the enclosure alignment will play a big role on how it sounds.

    Dcon popping noise.

Say it does, do you think they would replace it? I'm doubtful the driver is at fault because so many factors come into play, especially if it sounds normal until high volume, but it's certainly possible something was off during assembly, or the UPS man didn't play nice, if it happens to be a faulty driver I am sure Mark & Aaron will get you taken care of.

    Dcon popping noise.

Before you put them in the new enclosure, you can run them free-air at low volume, and visually inspect for any issues, and see if the one driver still makes the noise.

So what can I do about this if it continues? Your current enclosure is sealed, correct? If so, then unloading isn't an issue. Does the amplifier have a subsonic filter? If so, what did you set it to? Low Pass Filter set to? Double check wiring. I can't emphasize this enough. Well I could... Lastly, I would try lowering the gain. If you lower it a bit, output doesn't seem to decrease, and the noise goes away, then perhaps that's all it was. I was told when you have a sealed enclosure the ssf filter isnt a factor. The ssf attenuates frequencies below the tuning of a ported enclosure, otherwise, frequencies below the tuning of the enclosure can cause over-excursion. With a sealed enclosure it's not needed, but some people may still use it because they don't care about reproducing super low frequencies. I asked because if he replied "No, the enclosure is ported", then I would have to ask "what's your ssf set to?" I'm simply killing two birds with one stone. Yes it's sealed. BUT I am getting my ported box tuesday. SSF is turned down all the way. Gain is about 1/4th the way up. LPF is around 80hz I think? Then unloading or over-excursion from below tuning is out. Adjust the ssf a few hz below the new enclosure's tuning frequency when you get that installed, but for now, I would double check the wiring, and adjust gain. Visually check the seams of the enclosure for any light coming through, or visible gaps.

  18. I never received an email, but it would have been nice if it would have been posted to begin with to avoid any possible confusion such as this... I bought some b-stock damp pro, and closed cell foam for the front doors. Had some extra mlv from the last project.

    baffle or not?

A baffle refers to the panel the speakers are mounted to. I believe your asking about doing a double baffle, two panels glued together? Depending on the dimensions and how you do the double baffle, yes it could reduce the net volume, and increase your tuning frequency, but you can always lengthen the port to compensate for the change. I'm not suggesting some arbitrary length, you would need to calculate for it. Posting the material thickness will help others offer advice, otherwise people will likely assume your using 3/4" mdf.

  21. If you could fit in my medium.
  22. The original owner of Second Skin was Anthony Collova(sp?), and a year or so ago, he sold it to Ken. The Second Skin warehouse is ran by a handful of people. They have dealers throughout the United States, and various other countries. The Second Skin Rep (dealer) was in charge of making all the posts regarding the contest on the forums. Initially I asked him about using the discount after 30 days, since he was making all the posts for it, he told me it was best to talk to Ken about it. Which makes perfect sense. Ken personally answered my email. I personally purchased the product from Ken, there was no "place" for confusion. so when purchasing the product you stated "hi ken my name is _______ im one of the guys you sponsored and we were e-mailing about a 25% discount" or something along those lines? or is he just supposed to remember you off the bat? maybe youve met him before? *sighs* I went to the shop the following day. so i dont see a follow up e-mail stating hey im showing up tomorrow i look like such and such... you cant expect him to give that discount to everyone who shows up "tomorrow" especially if you didnt even state thats when u were going. I'm getting extremely tired of you. You take me as a fool. The last email from me was: Their response: The next day I met with them. I introduced myself. I'm sorry I didn't record the event for you, perhaps I needed to make a custom t-shirt stating: "My name is Stefan Hinote. I'm here for the discount."
  23. In case there is any confusion, I am not looking for any sort of resolution, I'm simply sharing my experience to the public.
  24. I did, Jon said it was best to deal with Ken since he's the owner and I wanted to pick it up locally.
