Quite a few years ago on CL, you would see two strokes for cheap, as everyone was out getting four strokes, then in the last few years people have some what migrated back, and the two stroke prices on CL have risen. I got a killer deal on my bike. Dealership had it for a few years, couldn't move it, listed it in cycle trader, and we just happened to look that day. Out the door, brand new 2007 rm250, $3500.00 The 2010 ktm was a bit more.

Sounds fun. A year or so back, we bought a 450 four stroke just for kicks, to see what all the "rave" was about. As expected, nothing spectacular, but we loaned it to another buddy so he could ride for a few months until he got another bike. What do brand new two stroke sleds start at? 9k?

Depends on how many needles, but if it's a lot, I pretty much agree. Few weeks ago I had a highspeed slide out right into a big cholla. Everything went slow, I thought to myself: "Oh shit, I'm going to be covered in this shit." I took it out with my shoulder, and slide for twenty feet. Got up, had a few pieces stuck to my wrist and shoulder. Took five minutes to get off. I got lucky.

Weather is perfect here, but stuff keeps getting in the way. Get new wheel studs? Yes I did. What a pita that was. Cost me $80 too. In the 30-40's here still. I am in the stage of "anxious to start installing" which will eventually lead to "damn I am still not done with this". Lol Perfect glassin' temps I bought a large box and made a hot box so I could glass in the winter. Put a little heater in it and monitered the temp.. kept it around 70-80 degrees Uh not really. Hot boxes can help / work, but then I'd be worried about warping.

You need more power. I have a monster track for the trail and can still break it loose a lot. Will pull "wheelies" at 40mph without having a clutch to dump as well. Power to weight is the fun. Oh, and I have mine setup to not pull wheelies as I like to have my skis on the ground when I need to turn. No apehanging to show off here, but modulating the front to bang the bumps you bet. 250cc two stroke is plenty of power for everything I do. Only time I'm wot is for a few straight-aways throughout the trails, maybe twenty seconds max. You wouldn't want to hold my sled WOT for 20 seconds unless you had A LOT of space. That being said I peg the flipper as much as possible, well at least early in the day, later on you get a little softer on things. For me, open space is a quarter mile run. I believe I top out around 65 70, but really all the fun is acceleration, and turns. Same here. I can choose to find more wide open but that isn't normal. Instead of single track though we ride on trails that are usually between 6-10' wide with lots of tight corners and tree's on both sides. Extremely similar only everything happens quicker and more safely on a snowmobile. Yep yep. No cactus is a plus, too. Even though cactus is more forgiving then a tree.

    6 15" Obsidian's and 10k......the rebuild!

3oz is thick, just from the pictures I thought it was a lot less, like 3/4oz. Using the 435 from uscomp? That's what I've started using, and I'll never go back.

  22. I just don't see how a clamp test is really an accurate way of comparing amplifiers, as it doesn't account for distortion, ie: clipping
  23. How did you test the amplifiers' strength?
