He knows enough to clear his porn viewing history. I don't see any reason for switching if TeamViewer has worked well in the past. Does it require anything on his part in order for you to connect? Eg if he has a problem and you want to connect and fix it, does he have to start teamviewer and accept the connection? If any of that is the case then you could make it simpler by using the remote desktop connection stuff from the OS, where you could simply connect at anytime without needing him to do anything.

I said they were garbage since they were posted in ASCII and because you didn't specify what they were. I don't doubt that you opened up some files, copied the text, and pasted it here. All you have to do is do a checksum between the original files and ones made from your post, they will not be the same. So you are saying YOU CAN NOT write a file from the texts at all..right? I'm saying you copied something from binary to ASCII which means the integrity of the data is lost. So if you copied what you posted, saved it as a new file, and tried running it, it would not run.

The reason why I get into these "pissing" matches is because the shit he says makes no sense and I don't want people to listen to any advice he gives as it'll be a waste of their time / will fuck something up. It wouldn't be any different if I started giving advice about welding that was completely wrong and you knew it. Perhaps that wouldn't bug you, I don't know.

Son I realize you are educated but don't make me make you look stupid like you are trying to do me You're posting binary data from an executable in ASCII which makes no sense because the former can't be expressed in ASCII. If you copied the garbage you posted, saved it and tried running it, it wouldn't work. Secondly you haven't even said what it is that you posted, so why would anyone care to save/use it?

Whenever you talk about anything related to computers it's equivalent to saying something like "mount the carb to the downpipe then invert it by ten degrees."

A dog with a keyboard would make more sense than you.

I'm failing to understand the point of posting random shit.

What the fuck did I just read.

Mike, I would go with another distro that still uses gnome or KDE. I've been happy with Debian and gnome.

Openoffice is almost exactly the same as MS Office, so Linux shouldn't be an issue if that's all he needs. The latest Ubuntu has the Unity GUI which I personally hate. Might look into Zorin http://zorin-os.com/, I don't know much about it other than it's designed to look and feel like windows/mac.

That's how I've always done it. I've even just swapped the cards and then changed the drivers, worked too.

I'll report back once I give it a go this week.

Oh no, not at all, a little Japanese manufacturor with a very limited line up, should be getting its doors blown off by GM. But yet, so much of GM seems to be filled with recalls and outsourcing now and little ole' Mazda is making lots of forward progress in their limited models selection. As for new vehicles, I don't even consider them anymore. I have been a Mercedes person from day one, through the years in the family, there have been far more Mercedes than any other. But, to clarify that, they are all older "don't make 'em like the used to" Mercedes. I am a bit spooked by the amount of complexity of new Mercedes. My Mazda bias is due a lot to their simplicity and lack of shit to go wrong, making them reliable and easy to work on/modify. I've always been a BM'er guy, but appreciated the Benz lineup. Mercedes is the LAST manufacturer I'd buy anything from now though. Fuck me....and they are my first pick. You are way to scared of German cars for some reason. I have had zero issues in over 5 years. The family that bought my S class after the lease has had zero issues as well. Have you owned a Mercedes or BMW that's not over 10 years old?

Definitely sounds like overheating. Open the side of the case and put a small house fan on it, turn it on, boot into bios, and watch the CPU temp. If the heatsink has poor contact and/or the cpu fan has stopped running than you'll see the CPU temp climb a few degrees every ten seconds or so.

Transmission line enclosures have no enclosure volume, everything behind the driver is the port. The Loudspeaker Cookbook has a section on them--IIRC.

Thank you man I appreciate that. And I can get down with everything you said. I appreciate the supportive words and honesty.Once I get some modeling happening I'll take some screenshots and you can give me your opinion on which box would be best for me. and maybe I can get some links or methods to figure out the effects of a sedan listening environment? This way I'll have some actual data for some actual advice Edit: it says *help files cannot be found* any idea where those files are lol? Not going to happen. All you can expect is a gain in output in the lower bandwidth, but the exact effect on response is going to vary from one vehicle and installation to another. E.g. If I throw a box in my car and run a sweep from 20 - 80hz and record the dB level at each frequency, then do the same outside the car, and subtract the spectra than I'd end up with the cabin's effect on response, but it couldn't be applied to another vehicle. If you did the above for a bunch of different vehicles than you might find some general trend, but it'll likely amount to my original advice: gain in output on bottom end.
