I searched rca volume control and rca attenuator. Sometimes the simple stuff is overlooked. I know PAC makes a few like the one I posted, a bit more, but if the cheapies work...

No way to do this easily....unless you spend a SHIT ton of cash. One option CAN make this easier, it's mono Wasn't the point of the minidsp to make it cheap? Cheap with future flexibility. And yes, it's pissing me off. A $10 pot would be fine, but $50. FUCK. so theses wont work? http://www.minidsp.c...ol-pot?sef=hcfp i probably missed something, haha My plan was to use one of those as a master. It'd be the volume control, but I still need "faders" for the channels. One miniDSP will do the processing for some pro audio mids and horns. The second miniDSP will do the processing for the in boat speakers and sub. If I used the miniDSP pots then I couldn't have the sub on loud with only the towers which will be my normal listening environment. Loud for either the rider behind the boat or the people swimming in the water. Not as loud for those sitting in the boat as they will be in close proximity. Then while cruising, towers off and the boat speakers & sub on. Vastly different sub levels. So I could use just the two miniDSP pots and get a normal volume pot for the in boats. The only problem with that solution is if I want an overall volume I'll need another pot on the input to the miniDSP and running ADC with low level input will increase the noise and then when I use DSP on the noisy signal everything is degraded. Can't believe there are no VCA kits available anymore. Fuck me. How about this between the channel signals for fading, http://www.amazon.com/Axxess-AALC-Remote-Level-Controller/dp/B003FPD3IS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1335911245&sr=8-2

Okay that makes more sense. Take it to a nail saloon to get it soldered. That stereotyping?

Port area ? Need help plz!!!!!

IA Lethal Injection 12" D2, 750wrms, and I plugged in 29 for FS, 48 for VAS, 0.61 for QES, 31.5Hz tuning and 2 x 3" aero ports. Use WinISD, it calculates port area for multiple ports differently. I need to find why, and update my page.

Inline for the master channels, ie: one attenuates 30db, then next one attenuates another 30db?

Nice website and calculator. However, when I calculated vent mach I get 0.11 while winISD gives me 0.04. I checked the T/S in winISD and they are correct. I wonder why there is a large discrepancy? Could winISD be that inaccurate? On a side note, I used the minimum port area calculator, and for a 12" driver with 21mm Xmax and 31.5Hz tuning it recommends 4 x 4" aero ports. That doesn't even seem feasible to fit 4 x 4" tubes in a box for a single 12". I am just trying to understand some of the calculations because I am currently trying to design a ported box. WinISD is accurate. What driver are you using, and how much power?

download WinISD, add a new driver, then under a new modeling project you can see the calculated vent mach.

I only have 10k. I removed more than twice that yesterday. And by removed I mean put them in a place that isn't my music folder. I don't want to go through the ripping process again if I change my mind. I just have everything in one folder, then remove anything I don't listen to from the database in itunes. All the ripped stuff is converted to the lossless format that Apple plays nice with. AAC, or something like that. Seems to work well, but then again I'm dealing with a fraction of what you are.

I'm planting the seed more and more and I think she is good with it. I am working her into it slowly If she could see the girls that I see in the morning that lift weights she may change her mind real fast, but there aren't many ways for me to gingerly bring that up Hey honey look at these pictures I took at the gym, see! see! To the mouth. I've been getting the ones in tin from trader joes, some are in oil, some in water. I should look into the ones in oil, and see if the oil is "olive oil", actual fish oil, or something entirely different. As in as is? Yeah. Honestly I don't do much "cooking." Closest thing I would say, which I forget to mention with the above list: eggs, shredded cheese, and salsa. ^When I crave breakfast at 1pm. lol
