Subsonic Filter for Sealed Enclosure
ssh replied to SnapperKing's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Great use for it considering you surely don't know your cabin gain up front. As long as the frequency is adjustable or fits in a range where it helps. Nothing like adding another level of safety to have it be out of whack and give false confidence. Yeah, a fair amount are fixed and set relatively low, which can be problematic for ported enclosures & the general census of 30hz tuning, but a fixed 20hz ssf & a sealed enclosure sounds pretty good to me. -
I don't know how the fuck they got the eggs to turn green in the pic, but the shit still looks good. Eggs & Chorizo in bell peppers.

Terrible vignetting Lend me $500, or stfu. Oh and that's shot with a camera held up to it, so I wouldn't consider it a good test. I actually checked out the lower model from Vortex this morning, and it did not have any vignetting.

Lol Yeah.... I was wondering how you got that price jump. If you join snipers hide, and call the guy who runs the sight he may hook you up with a deal. It may not work, but its worth a try. Yeah I'll check out the membership, perhaps Mel will cut me a deal. Good idea. If not, I'm getting the viper pst 4-16x50 mrad. I went to the local shop today, all they had was the regular viper, but it was still very nice.

Opps, I was looking at a ffp version vortex on their site, but looking at the regular version at swfa. Now I notice the extra price difference.

So whats bringing on this sarcasm this morning? J Frustration is my bet.

Lee has an anniversary kit, fairly cheap, and people seem to like it, but I won't be ordering one for a few months most likely.

I printed off some ballistic data for various ammo, mainly Federal, and Matchking Sierra, and then I'll compare it against the 200yard range near the house. I'll probably have to extrapolate some since the range is so small, so hopefully I can note a trend against the online data. I have a feeling that a reloading kit is going to be my best investment. Curious for those that reload, how long it takes to do 50 rounds from tumbling to bullet pressing?

If nothing else, it will look legit:

Lately for what ever reason I haven't had a big appetite, so it's been hard trying to get a decent amount of calories in.

Most amps come with a ssf, so you mine as well use it. If yours doesn't have one, then I wouldn't worry too much, your enclosure isn't large. Impious summed it all up nicely. Yes, WinISD is free. -
Didn't realize it could fuck up your hair that bad. ROFL.

One thing you should consider is the ex-anarchies are designed for sealed enclosures, or ported. Yes they can work in IB, ie: a door, but they may not excel compared to another driver geared towards that alignment. When I switched mine from the sealed kicks to the IB doors, midbass output was reduced by quite a bit. Just my experience.
-
Done for the day, no more info to work with. Mrad is looking good!
-
When I used the ex-anarchies in a two way setup, I had them crossed around 1900hz, then I changed mounting location, and was able to go a little higher. Your going to find that different installations will yield completely different results, so consider my numbers a ballpark figure you can use for finding a tweeter that can mate well.

<- Time to work. End of the day will pay for glass.

You spend all this time working out and are worried about carrying it around? I don't work out to gain strength, purely aesthetics. Penis lifts ftw
-
Plus I'll be getting a can down the road, so I don't need something insanely long, like my cock.
-
That's what I thought, and i figure getting the barrel cut, crowned, and threaded is just another $150-200 that could go towards glass or stock, if the shorter barrel is fine.
