I also know PhDs are setup differently in Europe than in US, eg here you have course work and research, in Europe it's primarily research and they usually require a masters beforehand, hence the less/no coursework.

Nothing serious at this point, but I'm thinking Germany would be a cool place to go for school if I can swing it, so I'm learning German. I'll admit it's not easy for the average person to distinguish between what's sound and what's not, but it's better to do some research on your own rather than simply accepting something as fact.

The other day some of you were talking about grass-fed vs corn-fed cattle in terms of taste and nutrition. I found multiple papers that showed some differences in fat composition and antioxidants. The authors didn't imply anything in terms to health, just said this is what we found, which is as expected. The differences in fat composition were insignificant in terms of health, but the amount of antioxidants found in the grass-fed cattle meat was. So what happens? A bunch of fucking idiots with blogs write that the grass-fed meat is healthier due to more antioxidants and cite the study as proof. Only problem is they don't know the antioxidant was an enzyme and when eaten is going to be cleaved the fuck up, so the point is null.

My point being don't be a sheep--from either side.

Did you know most vaccines contain adjuvants such as formaldehyde. Oh fuck formaldehyde that's a known carcinogen. Oh wait a sec, humans naturally have formaldehyde circulating in the blood and that concentration is WAY higher than whats in the vaccine.

We get a warning tag on the car once abandoned, but not a fine. They will tow 24 hours from the time it was tagged. Is it an immediate fine in AZ? Depends on the road and officer. They can either tag it and after 24 hours impound it (which the fee has been increased to $500) or immediately tow it. I should say I've seen it in Vail where cars were towed in under a day and they weren't a hazard, just my experience out here.

Yeah I mean it's your land, but burning that much acreage seems like a good way to burn down other land that isn't yours. Then again it wasn't intentional so a fine is kinda stupid. Fire department is not much better in my area...I got fined a couple of weeks ago and had to deal with the fire marshal for like 3 hours..30 acre's of wooded area caught fire "that is owned by me" I got charged for not having a burn permit..And all I was doing was grilling in the wood line by the fire pit..Fuckin B.S.
