Looks like he still has one in Laguna. The last museum I was at was in La Jolla, but it was sort of a let down, but I didn't go there specifically for the museum either.

If you're staying in the city Cannery Row (yes, as in Steinbeck's novel Cannery Row) is a touristy section on the waterfront. There is an overrated aquarium there (it's OK, but nothing spectacular), and lots of shops, restaurants and bars. It isn't really an amazing place, but it will kill some time and you'll find plenty to do for a day. That's what I figured. Some art museums around I'm guessing?
  4. why wouldnt you run it... from the test it seems like it makes rated power... I just stated my opnion is all. thats like saying, a fast food place will get you full, its true, but wouldn't you enjoy a home cooked meal better? What if the fast food restaurant sells home cooked meals? Apple sauce in my tummy makes me suuuper yummy.

Laguna Seca would be cool. I'll have to see what's happening that weekend. Big Sur is awesome, but we're flying up there, so I won't be doing any driving around. I'll be in Monterey area for just a few days. In Dec I'm going up to Sacramento for a week, and plan on heading up to Tahoe for a few days. Might see if I can kill myself skiing.

Anyone been to Monterey CA? Going there in two weeks, and don't know of anything specific I should see or do besides whale watching. I still have to see if they allow harpoons on the boat.

^I didn't admit anything either because I was just talking about my favorite video game GTA, and I like to talk about it like it's real life.

That's why I don't have a fast car OR a fast looking car. Definitely a good thing for me. On my way home last week there's one road that's pretty much a straight line with some bumps, and at the end it gets a few turns. The entire way I'm doing the speed limit 50ish, then I get to the big turns and doing 85ish, come over a little rise, and boom there's a sheriff maybe 50 yards away. Luckily he didn't have radar on, or didn't feel like making a u-turn.

I don't have a problem with it. You run into car people like that all the time. They think the sleeper makes them more special than the outrageously obvious traditional guy. They don't want anyone to know they have a fast car, but they want everyone to know they have a fast car. True true.

Yeah it was like 170, then 10 for plugin. which kit did you get? Originally 4way advanced, but it's setup for mono, not stereo. Got the 2-way advanced (MiniDSP_2wayAdv_105) today, and that's what you'll want. I can pm it to you, if you'd like. You can still do all the same stuff that the 4way allowed for. t/a delay per output, eq per output, and specific hpf and lpf combos for each output. Hell you can import a rew file. Which actually has me curious if I bought a relatively cheap mic, and did some testing, how much of a difference that would make. i really shouldn't pick up anymore projects right now. so fucking busy trying to graduate, take gre's, finish this research, and apply to grad schools. so maybe i'll wait till xmas.. i feel like you can do all the testing you need without a mic. and it would probably be more accurate. one reason is that when your using a mic your body is no long in the driver seat causing all sorts of reflections and crazy shit. i'm sure your aware of this since your have a kick panel install, just moving your leg around can change the freq. response quite a bit. if you go ahead and get it make sure you get one with a calibration file. i think there's a cheap one on PE, http://www.parts-exp...tnumber=390-801. and one of these guys, http://www.bhphotovi...s=REG&A=details Yeah I'm aware of the reflections, but I'm not using kicks anymore so there isn't as much variation I would say, and after doing an eq based on the mic results, I can simply switch back and forth between the eq and no eq, and tell pretty quickly what sounds better. Although I'm sure if I relied too much on the mic, then I could get it to sound like the ms8: "sterile."

Yeah it was like 170, then 10 for plugin. which kit did you get? And now I think I misread lol. I got the 2x4 rev B. The rev B is set to work with higher input voltages, but you can open the case, and switch it lower (same as rev A), I believe.

I'm sorry, but I think it's hilarious when people take pictures of their food. Although I'm sure others feel the same way about car audio, firearms, and everything else. I wish I could have tried the salmon. Regularly cooked it's not my fav, but smoked I fucking love, so I'd be interested in how it would taste all fancy fancy.

So much better. Imo the ms8 was sub-optimal because it lacked flexibility, took forever to try different xo, and tried to be smarter than the user with it's "autotune." It also killed midbass, which may have been "artificial midbass people are use to." I'm sure if you used it in an oem install, it would likely improve it, but for both setups I did, it sucked. With the minidsp you can change the xo points slopes on the fly, apply any eq, t/a, or switch between completely different presets. The tweaking I was able to do in 10 minutes would have taken me hours with the ms8, and in those 10 minutes the stereo (err mono rofl) sounded better then it ever has period. Google panned monophonic and kick me later. Probably hard. /discussion Yeah that explains it.
