I would check all other connections on battery(s), amps, etc. Then mount a new fuseholder. Where was the old one mounted?
-
Not relevant to Fi. Is any of the fuse holder melted? Did it have a plastic protective case over the metal and fuse? I'm guessing it popped off, or something, and it short-circuited.

Add dubstep to the above.

Zcon 18" running 1200rms now, 2400 rms worth it?
ssh replied to darren700's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Why do a zcon when a xcon will be enough plus some? That's sort of contradictory to what has just been discussed. One could ask: "Why not use a zcon?" Would your response be: "because he doesn't have enough power?" -
Your just making it complicated. Not saying this would be better, but I don't see why it wouldn't be awesome: Ditch the h701, and run a 3.5mm jack from tablet to 3.5->rca to minidsp, and your done. His done ? Anyway, if you need 4-way, then keeping the H701 is a sensible option. Why sell when you can reuse what you have ? Well I have no idea what he's running, but just because you have something already doesn't always mean it's the sensible option.

Don't remember if I already posted this, but who gives a shit:

See what Costco has. If you ever have any problems they'll take care of you.

The Bosch stove seems to be fine, but then again I'd be content with a camping stove.

Speaking of appliances. Our Bosch fridge sorta sucks. Less than two years old, and some valve for the water and ice maker went out already. Ice make gets jammed often, so you'll end up with five ice cubes, open it up, and the entire tray is fucking empty. Then when it does actually make ice it's not very much. If the fridge door is open for more than 30 seconds then it has an obnoxious alarm that goes off.

Definitely mixed. I had a friend who had numerous LG products including a tv, and had zero problems. One thing I learned is the specific model we got was known to be problematic after a year or so of usage.

Get some blinds, or tin-foil the windows. We've been pretty happy with our latest Panasonic. Haven't had any issues. I agree with the lighting, and Panny being a nice TV. Must have darkness/light control for big TVs. We had special blinds made for our living room so we could darken the room. I prefer plasma, but if lighting is a concern then steer clear of glass faced plasmas. Panny Viera and Samsung TVs are really extremely reliable (I have a buddy who fixes TVs, and he recommends Panny and Sammy) and have fantastic pictures. Look for beefy refresh rates (400Hz or better if you are looking at LCD/LED, but plasma refresh rates are just a sales pitch as they do not refresh), and at that size at least a 1080p. Ours is the Viera plasma with the 3d option, and though I think the 3d part is a waste (at least currently) it has tons of contrast, sharp, and haven't had any dead pixels or any parts replaced. Previous to it we had one of the first LG plasmas, and it was nothing but problems. Replacing boards every six months kinda deal.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the point. You could just have a 3mm jack connection on dash with a rocker switch for remote turn on going to some minidsps!

That's nuts--so damn high. I got a few pics of the dirt bike balanced on the stand without wheels & forks.

In my opinion it's definitely not worth it. You could sell the zcon. Order a pair of 15" zcons, build a new enclosure, and actually end up with a lot more output. The kicker is: you'd end up spending less than $1200 -

It's amazing how a little adjustment on the dirt bike can make a HUGE difference. Moving bars up or down, forward or back an inch. Raising or lowering forks a few mm in the triple clamps. Moving rear wheel. I can make these slight changes, and substantially add or cut to lap times. I'm now 8" above stock, lol Holy shit. Guess it's OG designed for 5' 5" people?

There's an amra race here in March. Thinking long and hard about entering.

Sounds like fun. When do we meet up? We'll let Sean bring the booze, and I'll bring the mixer... of course I will just show up with a bag of ice so he doesn't fuck up his bourbon again You're taller then me, but not by that much. You have me by a few inches in height, but I have you by a few inches in... Dont slap him with that, you don't know where he has been! They guy is dubious. LOL I think you highly over estimate my concept of a splash Backpedaling.

That's I wondered. Just sounds like speculation to me.

Well, he did say they enlarged the volume when the 18s were put in. On a side note, for burping, less cone area is greater than more. In this example, it's not properly compared but if we had a wall of 4 18s like in my car, i bet i could do just as loud if not louder with just 2 18s. Interesting though, Steve's friend is able to demo with this vehicle. Unlike many vehicles who get loud on low cone area, this by itself is a task to accomplish. So, i'd say this build will really give SSA large ad support. Can you elaborate on this? If that was the case then why don't you use 2 18s?
