So 4th order wouldn't be good? I have a couple people that can help me design it and i've been reading up on it quite a bit. But tuning lower was my original plan lol just wondered if I could get louder with a different box

Alright well i finally got some cash and am looking to upgrade. Right now i'm looking at 2 Sundown SA-15's but i'm at a loss for what amp to run. I will set my gains right and I've heard these things are really beastly so I was thinking something in the 3k range? If anyone has some amp options or maybe even different subs. I have $450 for subs and around $350 for an amp. I realize the SA-15s are a bit more than $450 but I don't mind an extra $20. Short version 2 15's or something else to fit in around 7 cubic feet $450 3k amp $350 I will have the electrical to back it up Give me suggestions, if you want more info just ask Thanks in advance DylanH

Well the main reason i'm looking at doing so much power and cone area is theres a guy around here thats got a wall of 16 12's and 7k and its freaking amazing! lol of course I know I won't get to that. He's hitting 153 something last I heard. But I want something thats gonna move air and get loud lol my 2 12's get pretty loud but I need something bigger its like a crazy habit but I love it!

Whats the S10 style box?
-
I'm really liking the 8 10s sealed just because of the amount of cone area
-
2000 Ford ranger extended cab. I have around 7 cubic feet to play with, budget is $450 for subs, $350 for an amp. I'm looking for the most cone area I can fit into the room I have. Looking for a loud daily driver.
-
Alright, sorry man. But after hearing that i'm thinking something like an Aq 2200d on 8 10s sealed unless you guys think 6 10s ported will be louder. I just want a loud ass daily. Mainly just louder than my 2 12" Type R's on 1k which I doubt will be hard to beat.
-
Alright well, i've came up with a new plan. What would you guys think about 8 10s in a sealed box or would it be better to go with like 6 10s in a ported box? I don't have enough room to port the 8 10s otherwise I would. I already found some 10s they arn't the greatest but they will get the job done just gotta find an amp
-
Or how about 4 12's that will handle 3k for all 4 and under $450
-
Wait, you guys know i'm talking about 3k for the pair right?
-
A loud daily. I don't plan on competing but I might a few times. Its going in a 2000 Ford Ranger Extended cab Also just because I don't compete doesn't mean I don't want it loud.

Those are amazing! I'm glad you guys are made in the USA!! But i'm still waiting on an ETA
-
Woooo!!! I'm working on designing a new system and this looks like it would be amazing!
-
Is there an ETA yet? Or a price for the 18?
-
Oh, I guess I didn't notice the v.1 part lol.
-
Since when were the Nightshades discontinued??
-
I got 3k and 7 cubic feet before displacement to play with, what can I do to get a hairtrick? Budget is 600 dollars for just the subs. GO.
-
So would 2 15's and 4k do the trick? In the right box
-
Hmmmm, I thought about that but its wayyy to far out of my price range
-
What else would you like to know? Its a 2000 Ford Ranger Extended cab. I currently have 2 12" Type R's on 1k and it moves some air but not enough lol I can kinda move a shirt when its in the window.
-
I'm looking to get either 1 18 or 2 15's. I know most of you are going to say 2 15's!!!! But I don't want to spend too much money, ($500) Right now I'm looking at 2 15" Planet Audio Big Bangs, I don't remember the model number but they say 1500 rms a piece. Or i'm looking at like a DC Level 5, Nightshade, or a BTL all 18" I have 3k and 6 cubic feet to play with. What do you guys suggest. I'm open to new ideas too. but thats my power, budget, and room
-
Yes, I have the electrical covered, but what about getting 6 cheapo 15's and putting them in a sealed box? Would this provide a hairtrick because of so much cone area? Or will it just sound like garbage because they are cheap powerbass 15's from sonic electronixs
-
Okay, I'm looking to do a hairtrick, its an extended cab ranger so it shouldn't be as hard should it? I want to buy a system and keep it for more than like 6 months lol
-
The box isn't built yet but I built a few mock ups and done alot of calculating and I found that is the maximum cubic feet I have, and why do you say a single sub set up? And what subs can take a real beating all day every day on 3k?
-
Its around 6-6.5 cubic feet after displacement and bracing. My goal is to be loud and move a hell of alot of air, or should i look into doing a bunch of cheap subs in a sealed box
