Ha ... Nice bro. Just because of you, Don could practically give me a sponsosrship and give me enough deadner to do my car and I would turn him down ... Like you said, products speak for itself and he doesn't need to give out deals and support Car Audio because HE knows what he is doing ... The deadner in my truck is working JUST AS GOOD as the day I installed it ...
-
No need to bad mouth any products on my build log please ... Like I said (plain and simple), If ANY deadner company can beat their prices and be just as good (AT as you say has gotten me HIGHLY placed in Sound Quality Competitions and helped me when no other company would even talk to me about a sponsorship) ... I WiLL TALK TO THEM ABOUT A SPONSORSHIP AND TRY THEM OUT ... and like I said ... I highly doubt that's possible. Besides, I'm the one deadning the vehicle ... Not the owner of any compamy. Whether he can properly deaden a vehicle or not is none of my concern ...
-
We can't speak of that name here ... But if ANY deadener Company on this forum can beat thier price and be just as good, I will try them out ... And I highly doubt that's possible ... Absolutely ...

Yes, I have orederd about 100 sq ft of deadner for this car ... and No, there is no rattles in this car. They built cars like tanks back in those days !!! and with the weather stripping installed and working properly, they were air tight !!! When restored with new weather stripping and new custom cut glass, this should make a great setting for a Sound Quality system ... I'm not sure what "goth" means, but yes ... there will be ALOT of fiberglass work done to this vehicle inside and out ...

I think it is short for Definitive Audio Designs ... No acess to my computer to know for sure, but it is something like that.

I want to widen my soundstage

Yeah you know exactly what song I was thinking about!!! Sounds great in my car other than exaggerated simblance.I already have a dash mat. What would towels do? Also, while you are testing ... Bring your sun visors straight down and see if that don't "tweek" the Chesky narrator some. Time alignment and EQ normally takes care of this, but every little adjustment helps ... -

Do you compete MECA ?? If so and if you don't mind me asking ... What class do you compete in ??I'm assuming that you would be in Modified Class. If you do redo you A-pillars to more of an on-axis style, you know that you will be moving up in classes to MODDEX or Extreme ... depending on the A-pillars. I will be placed in Modex. It doesnt matter to me what class I am in. There are so few shows in the tri-state are that competing will probably never be anything too serious. Cool thanks !!!I'm hoping that my car (49 Ford) gets to stay in MODDEX ... Hope to see you in the lanes brother !!! Best of luck with your upgrade !!! I do have a question ... Did you say that you was planning to re-angle your mids and leave your tweeters similar to the way you have them now ?? My apologies if this was already posted and I missed it ... -
With the correct enclosure build, battery power, electrical, and (last, but definately not least) amplifier power ... Should be no problem. Of course that would go with just about any WELL BUILT Sub Bass drivers on the market today ...

We normally use Precision Audio in Madison, Ms ... Chance Parks is a great guy to work with and does top notch work ... Another shop that we use here is Empress Audio in Pearl, Ms ... Clark is VERY good with his installations ... Honnestly, we don't use anybody located in Jackson, Ms ...

I wouldn't buy a fuse from Audio Central around here ...

Yes, I have all my Audio equipment planned out ... I'm sponsored by Blues Car Audio. No ... Just simple, well designed, well built, and detail installed ported and tuned enclosures (one in each kick pannel) by Team Linear Power / Blues Car Audio ...

Thanks Man !!! I will start checking around !!! I installed a reducer in front of the points. Do you thing the same thing could work for the guages too ??

Dang !!! Nice Ride !!!

Dang, just thought about it ... This will be the first Chevy part to go into the old Ford !!! I've always been told as a Chevy guy all these years is the best way to keep an old Ford running is to install new Chevy parts !!!
-
The enclosures that are installed in my truck are tuned at 24 htz ... Kinda figured this will work just as well in the old 49 ... Plus, I do not want a sub enclosure in the trunk area taking up space (just not needed to get the output I'm looking for), got too many plans for that truck area !!!

Plans for this weekend are to get her Alternator (GM 140 amp just like whats on the truck) installed and charging corectly, start pulling out the old wiring harness / wire / and whatever else is involved, see about ordering her new wiring harness, and just basically clean her up and just see what we have to work with ... I really need to get this wiring harness installed and get some lights working so we can drive her around and really get to work on fabrication, interior, and body work ... If I get time, I would like to take apart the dash and see what is actually good and what REALLY needs to be replaced or done away with to get this car operational ... The only thing that I know works in the dash is the key switch ... LOL

Will do Sir ... If I ever get acess to one.

Tuning for pure Sound Quality ... No playing Bass Mechanik in this ride, but I could if I wanted to, I have all the faith in the world in capability of those 8s being installed in this ride !!!This car is a true lead sled ... plenty of room !!! If I was willing to give up any leg room, we could fit 12s in the kick pannels like whats in Mark Eldridge's car ... plus we plan to use external port tuning to meet up with the other ported and tuned (external port tuned also) enclosures up in the dash area ...
-
not even a single 8"? What about the low bass.... there will be a pair of 8s going in this car ... one in each kick pannel in fully ported and tuned (24 to 28 htz depending on test and tune) enclosures. There should be more than enough low end bass, Especially with a Linear Power LP2250 on them ...

No Sound Quality ... Bummer -
Been talking with our team enclosure designer and we've come up with a killer looking amp rack !!! With not planning to have any subs in this vehicle, should have plenty of room in the trunk to do whatever we need ...
