Welcome to SSA

I saw you brousing around on D4S. You could ask JP where he got his. That was a very nice "under the hood" setup for a GMT400.

Treated timber is not going to help you Sir. You would need to atleast Line-X your enclosure / mouth opening to prevent water intrusion. Trust me, It finds a way. Bad part about Line-X (when done correctly) is once it's done, It's very hard to get back in there for maintenance. If possible, a fiberglass cover is the best way. Even then you still have to work at keeping water out.

One thing you could do is (to do a blow through, you would have to do this anyways) build a solid baffle on the back wall. That way you could reinforce the cab and build and amp rack at the same time. Then you can build your Blow through mouth opening in the center of the baffle with an amplifier(s) on each side. Having a small truck, this will be tricky but should turn out OK with the least amount of vibration for the amplifiers. If your amplifiers are mounted to your back seat, Jay-C76 said it best as to what would happen.

If you plan to install a "Blow Through" enclosure in your bed, and you plan to go through all of the trouble to cut your truck's body, you would not want to build an amplifier rack onto your back seat. In fact, it would be good to modify your back seat to where less material on that back seat, the better. You would be best to install your amplifiers either under your rear seat or in your bed along with your sub enclsure. Also, if you plan to install your enlosure in the bed of your truck ?? Do you have a fiberglass bed cover or something similar to protect it ???

Oh jeez, I've been told this one before. Yea I know, Cable is suppost to be a "closed loop system". LOL Haha. Just messing with you. Just couldnt believe they would put that in a study guide. To me, thats the hams fault and not the neighbors fault. It's all good brother. like I said, there is no more analog cable in most systems.

any of these events ever come through southern ohio? see some up Columbus and shit. say I wanted to enter one. how would I go about doing it? say like 1 12 on 3.5k I met up with them both at Daytona, but seen Mark at a few other events. I think we met up in Shreveport once or twice. May have seen Mark in Huntsville for Unified World Finals, can't remember

Mark is more "in your face" SPL whereas Aaron is more "Sound" oriented. Well, seeems that way from talking to them at events.

Gotcha. I'm a broadband Cable electronics technician is why I asked. So when you guys over modulate, you interfier with cable channels 16, 17, 18, and 19. Use to be a common problem for us old schoolers until digital haystacks came out. Now cable comapnies are getting rid of analog channels all together.

So when you are saying "Base unit", you are not referring to a non-moveable setup ?? Most base stations I've seen will not move and their antennas are huge. Oh, what frequiency do you normally transmit ?? What happened to the Kenwood ??
