Nice Ride

If I can talk the wife out of the money, I plan to order new Rocker / lower front Fender pannels for it on Pay Day. Only other things I know I need to order is all of the windows, doors, and trunk lid rubber trim seals. But yea, It's gonna take me month of Sundays to get this Block Sanding the way I want it. This car has just as many sexy curves as a Victoria Secret's fashion model. LOL

Thanks Man. I see alot of Block / Water sanding in my future. Maybe next time all of my help will show up.

After all of this, I'm glad I stick to good old fashioned "Made in America - Tried and True" Class A/B amplifiers. More Expensive, but MUCH LESS of a headache. -
Well this past weekend did not go quite as planned. There was going to be 4 people (not counting me and my dad) running sanders. Well, it ended up with 3 counting me. So insted to taking stuff off of the car like I planned, we just sanded our asses off all day Saturday and half of Sunday. We got just about the entire car down to bare metal. Some unsuspected things (not with the car) happened and we did not get a chance to get started on actual body work. So all that got done was sanding all of the surface rust off of the vehicle and applying a fresh coat of Primer. In all, A VERY productive weekend on the ole Car !!! Sorry for the shitty phone pics. Forgot to pack the Digi-Cam Now with the surface rust all gone and a fresh coat of "this is gonna show EVERY imperfection on the vehicle" primer applied, we can now focus on what actually needs to be repaired and/or replaced. Basically now the body work begins !!! Bout the only MAJOR wwork that needs to be done is "waist down" so to speak. Rock pannels, lower fenders, ect. Top half of the car is in great shape !!! Thank God !!! I'm on call this comming up weekend and it's mother's day / the Wife's Birthday the next weekend. So it will be 3 weekends before I can get the Car back into the Body Shop. But I do have some other things That I can do to the inside of the vehicle until then. So bear with me guys !!! I'm working on it !!!

Thank You Sir, and sorry for the "unfinished product" dissapointment. We are just getting started with this one. The pic you see in my avitar is the direction we are going with this car. Had to put it on hold for a while to build a small system for my son's 88 Ford F150. Plus, I do not have a shop so I have to wait until my dad had a free spot in his shop to work on it. I have all of the Audio Equipment for this project. I Also have upolstery material for it. Just need to get the car up to par for everything to start going in. Trust me, No body wants to see this car hit the Sound Quality lanes worse than I do. LOL

Gothca. Yea, I like the idea of cutting just enough for the port also. Just not so sure I'd cut 18.5" out of mine. I think my max height cut was 12" (give or take an inch, but close). Carry on brother !!!
-
Port internal or external firing into the cab ?? I know anything you build looks spectacular. All I'm wondering (having a blow though in a 90's chevy) is how much do you think the owner is willing to cut out of his cab to make that LARGE port fit ??? EDIT: Cant type for some reason. LOL

Blow through build ??

Yah, Yah, I know. This car should be playing music by now. But has been put on hold for a while. Well if nothing goes wrong, She will be going into the body shop this weekend for some work. Anyhow, Got some goodies in from my good friend Mike from Hyper Lights !!! like I told him with the headlights, I wanted something you would not see on any other 49, 50, or 51 Ford. So he had me a custom set of taillights made for ole "Plum Crazy" !!! He gave me a choice of clear lenses or smoke lenses ... Me and Dylan (my Son) is thinking more Clear. Beings it will have a purple LED integrated into the brake lights to give it a more of an "old school Blue Dot" incert. However, I'm thinking the smoked lenses will look cooler with the "Frenched in" effect we are doing with this car ... (we are dechroming this car as much as possible). What do you guys think ???

Awesome looking Car. I wish I could take it off of your hands. GLWS

Sorry to hear that about Ferdinand Aaron. Glad to see you found a new friend.

She (not referring to the Jet Ski) would look alot more comfortable on our pontoon boat. just doesn't look like enough room to "stretch out" so to speak on that Jet Ski. EDIT: Although she looks like she's giving that "Stretch out" thing one hell of a shot !!! LOL

Big 3 Worth it? Welding wire?
Randal Johnson replied to ExclusiveRA's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You can't just drive over to your local welding supply house and pick up you some welding cable and connectors ?? I use Nordon welding supply 10 minutes from the house. Much faster than mail order. -

Very nice looking drivers. Let me know when they get installed and I will try and make a trip that way !!! There should be a spot open in my dad's body shop for my 49 Ford Finally so I should be making alot more trips down that way soon.
