My bad, should have quoted. Using a 9 volt battery on tweeters. -

Never tried that with tweeters. -
L shaped slot port in box with angled back?
Randal Johnson replied to maddmatt02's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I think that's the way Ray and Mike designed my enclosure. Can't remember. Maybe a better enclosure deaigner will chime in on this. -

You might try to keep things simple and go with a 4" PVC round port. -
You probably could have gone aperiodic with that vehicle. Awesome.

I'd go with the trusted and true rectangle shape ported and tuned. Enclosure shouldn't be that large for a pair of ID8s. Just saying. -
Wasn't being rude. Well, wasn't my intention anyways. Just saying. My bad guys.

Oh that's funny here. Well, confusing actually. I'm the first one on this thread to mention phase and Sean gets the awesome "thank you" ???

Any plans for an 8" driver ?? -
From the looks of the Op's post edit, he's not interested in what we have to say.

Without knowing application, it's very difficult to make suggestions at this point. Maybe the op can tell us what he has to work with after reading this post.

Can I get help checking brace work?
Randal Johnson replied to j-roadtatts's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Been gone a while myself. Job changes, vehicle changes, so on and so forth. You know how it is. All my audio equipment is in boxes under my bed at the moment waiting to go into my 94 Chevy I just acquired recently. Hope to get started soon. Nothing special, just a good clean sounding setup. Again, nice enclosure brother. Can't wait to see it finished!!! -
Assuming you plan to use these for midrange / midbass, why would you put them In the center console ??

Nice work J !!! Long time no chat. -

Would be nice if you could squeeze out more airspace to work with. 2 cf with room for an external port would be cool. Just saying. I gave thought about trying out an IA flat line driver if I ever went with anything larger than a 10" driver.

Something you can try, and no, I'm not saying this works on every application. Proper phase is a must too. If you know what a proper phase sounds like, you can tell immediately when a vehicle you demo is out of phase. USACI has a great test CD to test phase. I've seen time when people changed the phase on their drivers to raise the stage. Usually changing the phase of the midrange / tweet out of phase with the midbass drivers. When I ran 2 way passive, my tweeters were out of phase with the lower drivers. Worked great !!! Now like I said, may work ... may not. All depends on application, hence the reason for asking if you have factory dash locations. Trial and error and see what happens. Good luck.
