SSA Evil 1 (first SSA tweeter)

NICE -
I'm more referring to driver control, power, dynamics, and headroom. I could care less about max output power.
-
I never calculated "efficient" into any of my competition vehicles. But then again, I only run Class A/B amplifiers.
-
I guess you didn't get my original meaning. Buy you a ZCON and call it a day.
-
I will say this ... (LOL Sean, had to ...) I hardly ever run larger than a 10" driver in my setups. But I have had 4 15s in one of my ground pounders. Now after talking to Mark and Aaron personally at show and events, and basically demoing SEVERAL different drivers, If I ever went stupid and built me another ground pounder, I promised Aaron that I would be ordering SSA product s for that ride. Performance along with ownership and customer service is more than enough to run their equipment. So if I was you, I'd order SSA and call it a day brother. You won't be disappointed.

Yep, from what I remember, those systems would get down. But back then, it was all about clear sounding ground pounders and not this shitty segregated SQ/SPL competition they have today.
-
I don't remember ever seeing JL Audio drivers being used as outlaw SPL drivers. Mainly Sound Quality. The ones I actually got to hear really sounded good. I've competed against a few JL audio equipped vehicles over the years.

Thread of the Year !!! LOL
-
Nice. I'm tuned in. Wish I had time to work on my ride.
-
What do you mean ?? Drama draws a crowd like a moth to a flame. Fun read actually. Keep up the great work !!!
-
Catching up to the IHOP thread fast !!!
-
Yea,I was kinda lost with that too. Lol You would need to buy or build a set of trim rings for the 6x9 locations to fit 6.5" drivers in factory location. Then do the same with tweeters in those 3.5" locations. And call it a day.
-
Glad to see you are doing good there brother. Great news !!!

Nice Work Mark. -
Nice Ride Mark. I'm tuned in.
-
How bout you try them out, swing back in here and give us a review.
-
I have never owned a Class D amplifier. ALOT has impressed me in competition, but never tried one for myself.
-
Wish I knew more about the limitations on those classes. (I'm more for a SQ guy)

(2) Fi BTL 15" - 15000 watts in the trunk

Dang, nice drivers !!! -
If it's a class D, it's highly possible. Link to specs would help to better answer your question. I'm a Class AB or nothing kinda guy.
-
If I remember correctly, you have to reach your goal number and hold it for a certain amount of time. Correct ?? Personally, I would trial and error with a pair of 12s on separate lower powered amplifiers. Test and tune from there. It's all about endurance, not just hitting a goal number. Stronger motor force with equivalent cone area. Just a thought ???

Different air space with doors and kicks. May not work as well as you hope. Plan carefully. Just saying

Welcome. Ran a few Kicker products myself back in the day.
