Awesome Bro ... -

Are you sure about this Bro ??? After posting this ... I gave it alot of thought, talked to a few people, then gave him this reccomendation ... here again, just my suggestion ...

With correct, accurate, planned, tested speaker positioning, all that time alignment stuff should not be needed ... Its almost like bandaiding a problem in your system ... Aim and adjust all you want ... Your center channel should be in the center of the dash and out toward your hood, regardless where the listener is in the vehicle ...

Stinger Pro 50 Farad Capacitor Give Away!

Yea, I was thinking about getting my dad a good boat anchor for christmas !!! This should work just fine !!! -
I like how this thread is going "off topic" ...

2 tweeters in each A-pillar (off axis to the listener) ... and 2 6.5s in each door on passive RD crossovers on that 100.4 ... This should put your stage somewhere up in the dash and should sound loud and clear as hell ... possibly no need for any processing/time delay ... And if needed extra midbass, a pair of 6.5s in the kick pannels (on a separate amp) ... Theres a blue tahoe around here somewhere with a almost similar setup ... Can you guess which one that is ?? This is how I would set it up if it was mine ... like I said bro, just my suggestion ...

Shortest route possible from point A to point B in a safe manor for the engine compartment. -
Welcome to SSA Bro !!!

Incorrect. Time alignment should be used so that all the drivers are producing sound that is coming to your ear at the same time. Regardless of how many drivers he has producing whatever frequency, placement can be corrected with alignment and phase filters. I've learned that speaker placement is the key to any great sounding system, then use time alignment/processing when needed for better stage enhancement and not corrupt the natural sound of the music. I think that bassahaulic has an idea of what I'm talking about. I think he really only needs one component set and a really good 2 channel amp for his front stage. then again, just my suggestion bro ...

All electronics are installed in my car Heaunit & Amps. I will build some enclosures for the fronts and place them on the front footwell (like kickpanels) 1 for driver side, 1 for passenger side. with enough lenght of speaker wires to be tap on the amps inside my car. then I will place the SA-8 (with box) in their trunk again with enough lenght of cables to tap the sub on the amp inside my car. Finally the customer will give his favorite cd, insert it in the heaunit in my car, play it. Then customer will sit inside his car CLOSE his eyes and listened to the sound. In this manner they will have close glimpse on what its like in their car. rather than inviting them to sit in mine. ITS GOING TO BE A Sundown SA-8 Challenge "Listened before you buy" I think stated somewhere earlier in this post, alot of concentration to the front stage is needed if your going for "true SQ" ... rather than just good sub stage ... just a suggestion bro ...

Wow !!! All this over Sub bass in a SQ vehicle and most SQ vehicles do not even use their sub woofers until 36 htz or below. The driver does need to get down into the very low 20htz range to pick up stand-up string basses, tympany drums, pipe organ notes, things like that ... Does the sub in question have a low enough FS to achieve these things ??

think I'm gona drop off my work truck, pick up White Lightning, and head to the bar in a couple of hours ... might play some fooseball ...
-
I think it should be just the opposite ... tweets should be the farthest away from you and not pointed directly at the listener ... just my suggestion bro ... I don't think time alignment will help you at all the way it is ... It should sound great though, I personally think you don't need that much tweet. just my suggestions bro ...

I wish I could remember how you have your front stage installed ... Stock locations or modified setup ??
