Welcome to SSA !!!

Your decision is unrelated to choosing between either of those subs. What year Silverado? If its the OBS you have much less space than the NBS. If it is a NBS, I'd step up to a single 12. Either way 2 8's ported isn't going to make box building so easy. Why do you generically think it matters? Why do you always offer what you have? Its really simple. The box alignment should be determined by the driver you chose. Just stupid to choose a driver designed for an alignment and stuff it into something different. He showed pics of the seat M5 ... late 90s just like mine ... You sure a 12 will fit under there and have room to breathe ??? he wanted to stand up the subs to the front of the seats, so how could you even reccomend a 12 and take up all the rear seat leg room ??? I just mentioned to him about my downfire setup to give ideas ... I was only wondering why he wanted sealed ??? I have a Blow Thru enclosure, not a under the seat enclosure, you know that ... and I never gave a driver suggestion ...

My enclosure was ported at 32 htz ... Why you want sealed ?? Mainly going for SQ. I don't want this enclosure to get too complicated.. I guess I could do a small ported enclosure. Maybe I'll go with an enclosure where each side is isolated from the other, each with a simple slot port towards the middle. That'd be pretty easy and would probably sound good. I wonder if I should do sub forward with a cage or sub up... My system is strictly for Sound Quality ... my subs were down firing with the ports (external under the front seats) towards the front for "on the dash" bass response ...

I would like to see you at the USACI Jackson Regional event in August ...

LOL ... Broadband communications (cable / telephone / internet) is a VERY good career field ... But to make the big bucks in in contracting / construction ... downfall is alot of travel ... especially if you can install / splice / activate / maintain fiberoptic cable ... after my kids are gone off to college ... I might be hitting the road myself ...

battery to fuse holder question
Randal Johnson replied to Robert's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
General rule is the jumper should be the exact length of the battery ... Competition judging is 18 inches ... from the battery post to the output end of the fuse block ... -
If you like working outdoors ... I would HIGHLY suggest trying for the Electrical Power companys ... Good pay / great benefits ... but alot of long hours ... (Contractors make the Big Bucks !!! But travel ALL the time) ... If I had it to do over again, this is what I would do ... Just my suggestion guys ...
