updates : soldered the rca plugs on the ends inside the dash. decided to mount both the amps under the front seats but that means i need 90degree plugs. aside from difficulty in setting the gains and wiring them up, anything bad with mounting the amps under the seats ? finished the bracket. it wasn't a big deal, but getting all the wires in was not cool the head unit and dash will go in place once eveything is wired up. i don't want to take apart all the plastics and mess with the wires too much. as far as the substage...i think i will copy JL's grand cherokee stealth box. lots of things to do before the substage...it's at the bottom of the list

"welding wire - a legend in sound" cheap, yet flexible

decided to run all the wires before fabricating the brackets. space is very tight behind the head unit and i hope i can arrange the RCA's by pulling them lightly while pushing the head unit in the dash... 6 RCA cable's running on the passenger side...these were a steal, at 50$ for 90ft i still need to solder the plugs on each end and arrange them under the carpet

taking care of grandpa wouldn't be such a pita if the house would be in an area where there is electricity we have a power generator, but can't let it run all the time.

ok, so generic radioshack RCA connects would work for this application? What's inside an RCA cable? Is it just one wire for each + and - ? -John this is what's inside an rca plug.
-
yeah I got the special edition one and it came with the case. I think it was the same price too -John that's the exact one i'm getting

curious as to why you'd be against a cobalt magnet and why you are so sure it's not ceramic...
