    Welcome to the IHoP

as long as it's not puffing out smoke like my jeep let's hope it's only a blown head gasket and not a cracked head stealership wants $400 just to take them off and send them to get checked. no thanks, it's just a matter of taking off nuts and bolts, i have a repair manual and i found out where the puckers take the head for checking

i'm not going to take it very far i think i found a plastic panel locally, which means i can get more space by cutting it so this enclosure will either be sold or i'm just going to modify it to get more airspace. but that will only happen next year. managed to cut the baffle today (no pics). jig-saw + flush trim bit = cheap win. it's 31.5 cm's wide and the sub cutout is 28.1 cm in diam, so it's going to be a tight squeeze. not happy with it and an rl-i 8 is not an option right now.

will do sir. right now i can either buy a new blade for the sucky saw, fork out money for a table saw or try to cut the 2 panels with the jig-saw.

as soon as i'm done with my enclosure i'm going to say bye-bye to spending large money on car audio. my room is screaming for IB bass now that the new garage is adjacent to one of the walls and i'm still itching to buy a nice turn-table

curved on the small side. probably could have used it and fill the gap with fiberglass but i hate cutting corners and i'm too much of a perfectionist

unluckiest day yet. as soon as i got the mdf out of the shed it started pouring. the sheet got wet on one surface. i got a circular handsaw from a neighbour and tried it on some scrap wood. worked fine. so i clamped a guide on the mdf sheet and started cutting. the saw decided to cut a curve instead of a straight line. i swear i'm going to buy a table saw even if it's the last mdf panel i ever need to cut.

i think he made a FG panel / pod and covered it in vinyl (sp?) again, speaking from memory, so i may be wrong.

seems like a good idea. the underground radio station Aaron mentioned in the "now playing" thread is another idea worth considering.
