As far as some people say, winisd isn't reliable. And it's even worse with the rl-p. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=13705 I would follow Mike's or other user's recomendations

For some strange reason, ca-f.com won't load for me

Damn, that's a lot of time

Looks amazing, Great job !!! x2 Awesome work.

First thing after I found the auction was to google for specs...qsc.com ftw

Just found a broken QSC USA900 on ebay.de Really tempted to buy it and mod the shiznit out of it. It's nice and tall which means it's got room for a much bigger power supply transformer. Just need to check the schematic and see parts availability

I think that mdf is a good choice. I'd use ply if I oculd find some

Adrian_D, your money was always nice to me. paypal has issues. Why does it always happen that a day after I think about someone they pop up ? How's things going ? Car ? System ?
-
pucking PAYPAL Sent the payment for a pair of 40.1's and they blocked the sellers account I wonder why that didn't happen with my last big transaction.... Me thinks about re-sending and calling paypal to ask if my money isn't good.

And take lots of pics

The Soundsplinter RL-s has a very diffrent motor, with the goal of sounding best at any volume (to simplify it). If the amps are stable at 2 ohms I would probably look away from the RL-s. Maybe the RL-p if you really want SS ?

I'm out. Time to study

Today's exam was rather easy. Calculus is friday

It's not too bad, although I'll take working on point-to-point no PCB amps any day Just as long as there's no SMD's involved... It's really funny when the board gets fuxored up from too much heat

Depends on the price of the broken amp and the interest in them. Probably between $150 and $300 (absolute tops) profit. Only amps worth for this sort of thing are the ones over 2kw. If I find something very neat I may buy it for me. I've seen a Lightning Audio 2000D go for almost $1000 (I think I can find the add, 2800ron was the asking price, check xe.com). I have one of those on my way too Mind you, $300 is an interesting sum over here. Also going to try importing some new caps since people over here obsess over them. I wanted a big cap for the new power supply and said wtf, I'm buying 2 6F caps. $200 shipped. Cheapest new 1F is $80 over here. As soon as they arrive, I'm posting them for sale...ebay is full of them.

I don't know if you have enough space to fit them and it wouldn't be too nice to have them work in a cramped space. Focus hatche's aren't that big.

Looks like a nice and simple build so far. Are you going to double up that baffle ?
-
Thats because I built them in about 3hrs. Just put some cherry vinyl laminate that I had laying around on them tonight. Thanks for the compliments guys. that is no excuse x2 I'm amazed of your work

Just sent an email to Orion for schematics for the 2500D and HCCA5000D. I hope that goes well, since I have 3 of those amps on my way to get fixed
-
You asked for a 13w7 vs soundsplinter S12. You mean the RL-s ? I would probably put the RL-s in a whole diffrent league, since it uses a far more interesting motor topology. What kind of power you have available could probably decide your subs as the RL-s has a single 3 ohm coil.

Meh, over here the legal age is 18. But I never had my ID checked
