    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

One more pic during the amp install. I have some alternator whine with the phone un-powered and the mini-dsp powered from the rear 12v wire I found and stupid loud alternator whine when I charge the phone. Powering both the phone and the mini-dsp from a 5v phone charger cures all the noise, today I will run a USB cord all the way to where the amps are and install the 5v charger there. Also need to build a turn-off delay circuit for the mini-dsp, long enough to turn on the engine.

Passing on the highway is fun in the new Jeep. Almost 300 lbs-ft of torque from 1600 to 2400 rpm

The bodywork on the Miata should be ready by the end of the week. Then I have to sandblast surface rust, do all the seam welds people recommend to do and get it painted

I work like that when I have at least parts of a working system and cruise control.

I wish I was disciplined enough to drive 60 for a tank of gas. Blah, I was on the highway going barely faster than trucks. That meant occasional "sprints" to 70-80 for passing

New fuel consumption record in the Jeep, 29 MPG overall for the entire trip, with A/C on most of the time. I did keep the speed at 60 mph, enough to go barely faster than trucks. Everybody else was doing 75+.

Road trip was fun, Auschwitz was not shocking there since it did not sink in fast enough in the 4 hours of the tour. But recalling everything afterwards is chilling. Krakow, Prague, Bratislava and Vienna on the other hand are very nice cities. Prague was full of tourists, Bratislava and Krakow are kind of small but seem much more relaxed and Vienna is not as busy as Prague and bigger. Apart from 2 rainy and cold days in Prague, the weather was perfect all around.

After I changed the fluid in my transmission the problems caused by some shift overlap sleeves became worse. Flare on the 3-4 upshift when hot and seems like it catches on the 4-5 shift. $60 worth of valves fixes it.

I'm so anxious to get off work and go see the progress on the Miata At least the shop is 2 minutes away from my house. Don't know why I bothered to look elsewhere for a bodywork guy

CAN, CAN everywhere. I fucking hate it. The heated seat buttons are CAN. Oh, let's add 3 elements and make it 4 times more complex so that now a computer can read it and turn on the heated seats.

GM it is one wire.As for the Joyconn, I have one just happens to be the older non-Can bus version. Just wanted to check to see if I could skip the SWI which is why I wanted to check. Yup, same as Jeep. Single wire, J1850 VPW protocol. Other wire is ground but that's a given.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Hello ! Now, since I was lazy and decided to use the car's wiring to power speakers, I struck gold when I found a plug which fits the car's wiring plug in my wire stash. All I need now is to reconfigure 2 wires in the car's plug so that I have switched 12v and ground on that single plug. Blue and Orange wires are Rear Right wires in the car's plug. They will get reconfigured to switched 12v and ground
