Snow ! It's been snowing for a few hours today and since I have this vicious cold, I'm driving to work. Can't wait to test out the bike with studded tires, I have to take a picture to see just how skinny the tires are compared to Sean's bike

I have to do that. The Jeep's previous owner spilled grape juice. I removed the carpet in the trunk area and cleaned it but there are spots where it pooled in other places.

Sweet. Was out dickin' around today when I came across a Romanian Tokarev that was too cheap to pass up. My Eastern Bloc collection grows larger, comrade, AHHH MOTHERLAND!!! Shit, I never knew that was used here too.

ME HER Crazy hoes are all over dating sites. It was a good learning experience for me

I haven't shaved in a little bit over 2 years. My girlfriend never saw me in real life without a beard

Cross shifting? Bah. I shift from bottom to top on the front, usually within the first 40 feet, then keep shifting down the back.

We have some snow in the mountains, about an 8 inch layer in places. Finally drove the Jeep to a bit more difficult sections and got a feel for wheel slip and lost traction.

After 10 months of a temporary install, here is the Note 2 in it's final resting place: FM Radio works, charging through the isolated supply and the wireless charge pins also works nicely. The Audison DRC is bad (I asked the dealer for one with a bad screen and got one fuxored completely) but it will get replaced next week. Things left: Finish sub Micro-USB extension wire OBD2 adapter for the steering wheel controls Deaden doors and install Extremis Install full-ranges, the Fostex from the old Jeep don't fit, so I will have to get some Faital full-ranges. Sub's first because the current one uses a lot of space and I have to finish it by January 30th, before the ski trip.

I'd give it a try with the studded 28x1.25's

I envy you. It's snowing heavily here and I braved it and went by bike to work. Everything was fine except that I tucked my rain-proof pants in the boots and water dripped in. Pretty amazing how well the jacket and pants kept water out, heavy snow is worse than rain.

They never die, they just get rebuilt

Sean, post the picture of the "dirty" Escalade again Flash obviously makes it worse

I do the same everywhere I work. Extra zip-ties, extra protection. I've wrapped some parts of the engine wiring harness of the Jeep, which touch the bodywork, in thick leather.

Way to go Mercedes for not using an output shaft speed sensor and relying on the ABS sensors.
-
I'm getting a real silly error in the Jeep, Transmission slipping or implausible gear. This could be from any of the electronics associated with the transmission, from the ABS system to the transfer case switch. I can't replicated it, so it's going to be fun to diagnose. Time to browse the FSM, it says what could trip the error, a good point to start the checklist.

I get 10 in town/highway in town, but on long journeys when you just go 80 I can get closer to 20. I still have a problem with the gas pedal being used on the highway though so it is normally closer to 15 there, but gas is not an expense I pay attention to.There no way you could get 20mpg if you got that thing on the highway and just set the cruise at 80 for most of a tank. I averaged 22 after the supercharger on a 50 mile ride. Tail wind and flat though. Closer to 70 Hand calculated or computer? At 65-70 I can believe 20-22, after that, that wind sail picks up a lot of resistance. I averaged 23 in the Jeep, mixed driving and a long of short trips in the morning. Pretty happy

And I'm waiting for the local Audison distributor to see if he has any DRC remote controls with a broken screen. Gah, so much stuff to buy.
-
Added bonus would be to sell the shocks too, he needs front shocks.
-
I may have sold the springs from the Miata in less than 10 minutes. The guy is coming over to see them tomorrow. If he buys them I will be "forced" to get the coilovers
-
There's nothing I hate more than getting stuck on some stupid bullshit at work which should've went smoothly. Fucking frustrating.
-
X2, good job Neal. I'm not looking forward to opening up an engine again though. Probably when the time comes I will build up a spare engine for the Miata.
