I need model #'s and/or links guys lol. Gotta research.
-
are those all the model #'s cause i can't to seem to pull them up on a search

That's huge. You can far exceed your expectations with that budget. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> to steal a quote from the matrix... Show me. lol
-
so that's the way to go? throw 4 6 1/2's in there?
-
im not looking for a high end system but a more than average system. i listen to everything but country..but mostly would be rap & hip/hop. so as far as bass goes, probably boomy bass. id like to set a limit of $2-3k.
-
i dont know much about car stereo setups but my rear's are 6x9's so how would i get 6 1/2's in there? and no i'm not really set on pioneer high's...just seem to be good speakers from reviews i've read. your saying to run the components with the p3002 by itself and leave the rear's unamped? i could just run another P8002 and that'll supply all 4 high's with plenty of wattage.

Any suggestion on the amp for upfront? or just something with more power like a P4004/8004? TS-C160R something like those are what your recommending for upfront? Also you mentioned ditching the 6x9's...any reason why? Those 2 got pretty nice reviews.

I did some research and here's what i'm thinking of putting in my grand prix. Headunit - Pioneer DEH-P7700MP 6x9's - Pioneer 5-way TS-A6991R 460w (80rms) or TS-D901P 350w rev series (60rms) 6 1/2's - Pioneer TS-D161R 260w (60rms) Subs - 2x P312D4 1000w (500w rms) was thinking T2's but that's overkill Amp for my high's - P4004 100w x4 (gets more but don't need it) Amp for my subs - P8002 (should net me 500w rms to each sub) Anything you'd change? Reasoning? Box suggestions? Edit: upon further research a P2002 should net me near 60w per speaker instead of using a 4 channel P4004

I'm looking for around $2k not $1k. As far as show worth is concerned...my car is on display for other reasons not concerning the stereo system so i'm not trying to get a spiffy looking setup that looks pretty. I got a few setups already planned out but I figured i'd post here to see if anyone has ideas I haven't considered. Especially horror stories from certain products/retailers.

if youre talking about Audio Express's advertisements, don't even bother "home of the 1 dollar wire fire" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No I mean the ssaudio radio advertisements. They both have similar advertisements though. Either way we're getting off track here

I hear advertisements on the radio for $1 installations alot. Also by listening to their advertisements of different products $2k should net me a pretty decent system.

Not sure where this post would go but i'm sure the mods will move it if it's posted in the wrong area. Basically i'm looking for advice on the best setup I can get for a 98 pontiac grand prix gt four door. Amps, crossovers, subs/boxes, 6x9's, regulators, etc. I listen to every kind of music (besides country) so it's a bit harder to nail down my needs. Basically I want a system I can show off. One that during a show everyone around can here what's playing on my system (and feel it) loud and clear. But I want it to also sound good inside because what's the point if it is very loud and clear outside but distorted inside. So as much power as I can squeeze into this car. Also I know that description is basically what 99% of everyone buying a system says but eh...it's a good one. I'd like to stay around $2000 but if you have a setup that cost more(i.e. fold out dvd screens, novelties, etc) but you feel it's worth mentioning, and wanna post it along side with the cheaper setup, i'll definitely take not of it. Model #'s and price/install estimates please. I'm located in Las Vegas if that helps. Thanks again for taking the time to read this.
