If you take those back covers off there are just flaps which you can over with some type of deadener. I have personally not done mine yet but I might weld mine up. Andrew

Ok here is what I came up with, and might I add your in luck good sir! I'm using your max dimensions! 35.5 wide 17 tall 20.5 deep 4 cubes @32 Hz Double Baffle, Flared Port 54.25 sq inches of port. 1.5 lbs per cube will get you about a 30% increase up to a 3 cube enclosure. At 3 cubes + your down to a 20% increase at the same 1.5 lbs per cube. Any more poundage per cubic foot over 3 cubes and it has a reverse affect. You can go up to 1.75 lbs with enclosure under 3 cubes for an aprox 35% gain. Andrew

Is there anyway you can sacrifice either width or depth for some height. The mounting diameter of 15 Xcon is 14.125 and the max internal height of the enclosure would be limited to 15.5 inches. So you would be almost screwing the screws into the top and bottom of the enclosure, if the screw gets sideways going in it would split the wood. And this is only for double baffle, you need a min of 18.375 height to achieve flush mount. Andrew

Double Baffle is already included in the drawing you referenced. So for flush mount and flared port I would add about 1.5 more inches in depth. A great way to do mock ups is with card board. Andrew

We could even do a smaller enclosure than that if needed. Andrew

3/8's is not a popular size. But I would go down to Lowes or your local welding supply place. Those are the best two places I would look for copper lugs. Andrew

The subs remain a surprise till later this weekend. We have 10.239 cubes @ 30.3 Hz. These things like large ported and sealed enclosures tuned very low. I decided to do the double flare for fun I had some spare 1 inch MDF left over so I'm going to use that for the baffle with a piece of .75 for the flush mount which is going to bring the total height to 22 inches which is perfect for the seat line of my Tahoe. Wow you had me freaking out there for a sec but that one has the gasket off it sitting on top of the basket!!!! I was using that one to predrill my holes. Andrew
