Enclosure Build for Hove (Two 18 Inch Sundown NSv2's)
Argent Audio replied to Argent Audio's topic in Argent Audio
The roll comes in today. I have been having some major issues with how much work I have and how much time. I will post a new thread today. Andrew -
Your looking at $160 plus shipping for that box. If the price is good I will confirm the design and we can move forward. Andrew
-
Final dimensions are going to be: 36 wide 18 deep 15 tall Andrew
-
Ok I have a design done for you. I went with 1.75 per sub as Jacob recommends. Aero ports are going to work great for your application. 38 wide 20 tall 25 deep 7 cubes @ 33 Hz (2) 6 inch aero ports. If this looks good let me know and I will get you a price. Andrew
-
Could you let me know what type of car this is going to be going in I could recommend what way to face the sub etc. Andrew
-
Here is what I came up with for aero ports: 17.25 deep 10.75 tall 20.75 wide Flush mount. (1) 3 inch aero port facing the rear of the car, sub facing up. 1.2 cubes @ 33Hz. $140 for the enclosure. If this looks good then I will figure out what size plexi window we can fit. Andrew
-
I will get you a quote tomorrow, been extremely busy at the moment. Andrew
-
While working on the design I had the thought to use aero ports for this box. Would you be opposed to that? It would help keep the box size down by a lot! Andrew
-
The cost of the enclosure is going to be: $190 enclosure $25 ports $xx shipping for ports to me Andrew
-
Ok sounds good. Let me get a price together for you. I just sent the shipping quote into PSP-Inc for the ports. Andrew
-
Ok, do you have a measurement to the top of the seat? I like to design around that as to not obstruct your sight out of your rear view mirror for safety. Andrew
-
Your looking at: $210 for a normal slot ported one and $285 for one with a flared port Andrew
-
That 28 includes the head rest of just the top of the seat itself? Andrew
-
Sorry for the extremely delayed response. I was able to shave 1 inch off the width dropping it to 36. There is also .75 inch indent which will give the port more room to breathe. With those dimensions and if I mount the ports in the middle of the side of the box, will you have enough room for them to breathe? Andrew
-
With the dimensions you gave there is not enough room to make a proper size ported enclosure. I was using the min air space Fi recommends which is 3 cubes. Andrew
-
If you want I can get the port and install it for you too unless you have it already. I get wholesale prices on them. Andrew
-
If you could give me the dimension to the top of your rear seats I will try to keep in under that level. And I'm assuming the 38 is width. Andrew
-
No I have not. Not many local customers for me are interested in a box like that so I have not had the chance to. Andrew
-
The box is going to be pretty wide, almost 30 inches if we do not change some other dimensions. Right now I have the depth at 14 and the height at 13.25. Let me know what you want to do. Andrew
-
I will updated this every night if there are changes. You can look here to see the ETA ship date of your enclosure. 1. Hove - 11/24/2010 (Waiting on Correct Ports) 2. Justin Daniels - 12/1/2010 3. 4. 5. 6. If you have a specific question about your enclosure email us at [email protected] Andrew

Custom Enclosure Order Status Thread!

Can I have an update on my enclosure. Im the person with the icons and the flared port my email is [email protected] Almost done. Time has been short with the holidays around. I'm going to put another coat of paint on the port tomorrow. The cold temps have been slowing me down a lot. Andrew -
If you could give me your max dimensions I will get a design started. Andrew
-
The ports will be physically too long to have them fire out the front of the box. Let me try a few things with the design. Andrew
-
Your looking at $140 plus the cost of the plexi window which varies depending on size. Andrew
