Amp help please!
BanginGMC replied to PhishHead's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
This is why people should use a inline fuse... so much more could have happened. Good thing you used one! I wish you the best of luck. -

That shit sounds like its tearin' that ride UP! hahaha

If the box is made with the right amount of volume and port area needed also tuned correctly then it could be okay.. but, in most prefab boxes there is no bracing, double baffle, or other proper support needed for some applications. EDIT: Oh yeah, its easy as pie to make a ported enclosure for a single 15" I recommend you try it.. gaining this experience and knowledge in this hobby is priceless.

Happy Easter Muuuh-fuckas

Yeah, i laughed at that too
-
If it does not meet the amount of air needed it will sound like and make you want to
-
This made me laugh I bet that amp stays cool with all the air from the port

I know this guy named Dustin and he is a master at this stuff, for 10 bucks he'll design you a box with 3D models and a cut-sheet that makes it EASY as FUCK. His E-mail is [email protected] Tell him Domenico Zerilli sent you When you e-mail him give him the information you gave us.

I have never done a wall before, and i am really interested in them. If its not too much trouble i was wondering if i could get schooled on them -- how to prep a truck for a wall, the do's and dont's, bracing, etc. etc. etc. I would like to become confident before going balls deep into this build and I don't want to be slapped in the face by how little i know half way into the build, ALSO i want to know what i am getting myself into before i start cutting. (ported, 10-20 cubes) i seen the build a wall build and it had a SHIT load of 2x4s.. would i have to do this to my truck? The truck will be a 1986 GMC Sonoma (S15) ext cab and the equipment is 2 or 3 (depending on how much space ill have) fully loaded 18" BTLS. The amps will most likely be AQ2200's.

hahaha you should have seen it with the old rims, you know the kind that is pretty much used on every low rider with hydraulics? -- oh yeah.. it was bad news.

They will be rattle can sprayed black, a couple coats. Then they will be wrapped in either black carpet or black suede. My headliner and A pillars are black suede, so i will probably go with that. I am painting them black with a rattle can so if a small blemish or tear happens it will not be as noticeable as if there was no black paint.
