I would get the 15" if you are going with a single sub set-up. I know this guy that can make you a 3D design and a cut-sheet for around 10 bucks and it makes building your own box really easy. In this hobby that kind of experience is priceless! How do you like your 6.5 Alpine Type R's?

JL products are good, Sundown products are good. There will be no difference to your ears. Both amps are made with very good technology and love "haha" How much money do you want to spend? The JL goes for around 350 NEW on ebay, the Sundown goes for 550 on their website. (shipping not included)

Check out the mag. the BL will be bigger then the Q. If i remember correctly, the BL is double stacked mag and the Q is single.

So how would you even go about mounting something like that? Well they say they have a "Mounting System" but people i know just cut the baffle in half then glued it back together. Yeah I'm replacing everything with the 18. I personally think that the 12s and 15 sound better together than they do separate, but I'm sure the 18 will be badass. Different size drivers in the same ride = no good. I'm sure your probably right, but why? I personally thought it sounded a lot better when I added the 12s. Subwoofer cancellation. Mixing and matching different subs, especially different sizes, is not the best idea. Different weight cones will travel at different speeds and it's an absolute pain in the ass to tune properly as they will be out of phase, causing flat spots and not quite the same but mixing different brand subs like Fi and AudioQue isn't the best idea either as two different subs can behave/react differently at any given frequency and can cause similar effects as using different sizes. Can be done with multiple crossovers though. In general....not worth it.

I do know someone who can airbrush, and some call him the best, his work seen at SEMA, DUB, and other major car shows.. but he is not in your area.

It does not HAVE to be built on the bottom plate. It depends on the cuts you made to determain how the box will be piece together. What are your cuts?

Hang in there buddy, i know it can be frustrating.. but don't flip out. Something that might give you a laugh is this story that happened to me. I bought my AQ2200 amp and was excited and all that jazz then i hooked it up and it wasn't working.. i rewired it.. nothing.. ran new wire, and made a new grounds.. nothing.. replaced the fuses.. nothing, so at this point im screamin and throwing shit and i remove my seats and carpet and RIPPED alllllllll the wiring out of my truck, and threw it all in a box and thats where it's been sitting for a month and the amp is in my closet wrapped in a robe, shortly after that did i find out that it was switched to slave input instead of master input.. i hooked it up to my buddys tahoe and it worked..
