If he's done work for SEMA, I'd say he's also over my budget. Being out of area isn't really a big deal, I wouldn't care to ship it. Nope, he's very reasonable and respects other peoples wallets. I am getting my amps, truck, and interior done from him.

Okay, thank you. I figured it wouldn't help much.. i was more worried about it putting more strain on my alt. I was mainly wanting it so i can build it into my amp rack somehow. -

But.. would it hurt? I wouldn't mind having it, since i got it. It was only 40.00 bucks so it wouldn't even be worth selling it cause it didn't dent the wallet. EDIT: it's an 92 S10 motor with a stock alt so its pretty shitty.. the alts are so weak. -
Tuning low is not good for every application.. for daily 45hz is high, but some driver do tune in the 36-40hz for daily.

Is this true about Alpine decks?
BanginGMC replied to mwoehr's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Alpine decks FTW.. i think they are the best for function. I doubt its the deck. -

I ordered 2 sets.. hope im happy with them! I personally think that kicker is an okay company.. but they don't build their drivers like Fi does, The BL will be louder then the L7 BUT!... 2 15" BL's would make your head which, i personally.. love that feeling hahah plus Dodge + Bass = A few years ago i had a Audiobahn Immortal in my Dodge Dakota RT and it was legit.

It's possible to get the whistle sound from having the wiring com out of the port, but that depends on how the wires are hanging.. its not a guarantee that it'll happen. Alpine is one of my favorite companys! Its seems like they keep advancing with their technology and their headunits are amazing!

What amp do you have? -
For the grill, i've been wanting to try this idea out for a very long time. Have the box regular.. just a straight ported/sealed box, then... get a piece of wood of your choice, get it about an inch thick, then get a sheet off plexi glass about 2/4 or 1/4 thick and cut the wood so it would frame around the plexi glass and have about an inch lip going inward on the frame them with a tool of your choice sand down the wood so the plexi glass fits in flush then.. cut holes about the size of the bottom of a styrofoam cup (or smaller/bigger) out of the plexi glass and then add some led lights (color green cause green is fuckin dope) then boom! just make sure there is enough room from the face baffle of the box and the back of the plexi glass for sub excursion. ...this idea might sound/look better in my head

New to the Car Audio game, and my friend got me in big lol
BanginGMC replied to DeezyDee's topic in General Audio
well i am not no where professional at it, and i am spending 1300 or more dollars in a sound system I don't want to buy 50 dollars in wood and build a square box and cut a whole in it... I'd like the box's frequency and tuning measured, i also don't know how to do the math for the displacement of the speaker size, magnate, and bracing. Building a box is a much easier challenge then you think.. honestly. 3/4 MDF wood, Titebond III, Screws, Jigsaw, Power Drill, is all you will need. I can provide you with a guy via e-mail that does box designs for around 10 bucks via paypal, he includes a 3D model and a cut-sheet so its as simplistic as it can get. Don't be intimidated.. its only wood, screws, and glue!
