Well, cheap can be defined differently by everyone.. and dbs are install dependent Some cheap 12s are: BTL12 - Price: $ 364.00 BL12 - Price: $ 274.00 Didn't notice the price OP. Also, it would help us to know what subs he listened too and wanted louder in comparison. Good luck P.S. If he's not competing 2 12inch Alpine Type R's sounded amazing for 250 a pair new (ebay)

Yet again, another gain and filters question(s)
BanginGMC replied to BanginGMC's topic in General Audio
Thank you for providing me with a starting point! but from there where would i go? Do i turn the HP filter up untill it distorts then turn it down a bit then turn the LPF down untill it distorts then turn it up a little? About the DMM: i never used a DMM for my recent PDX1000, because i never took the time to break it down with someone like my friend kirill007 did. I have always done it by ear, i just figured an amp.. and every amp should set it with a DMM, but i stand corrected. Thank you jay-cee and Sir-Lancelot I am not the type of person who would lie to myself and think "no way my equipment can be this shitty, im not turning the gain down no more" So only have the tweets and highs on correct? -
Oh wow..these things are gonna tear your head off does that mean at 1watt, 1mm of excursion, it hit 109dBs?
-
I wish i lived at your house, open the kitchen pantry OH! 13 Sundown saz 4500s brand new in box waiting for resale! what a surprise! Do you take roofies then go rob you local audio shop? lol good luck on making around 1k
-
Naw I didnt get these kind, way to harsh to my ears but to each its own. Like said before you wouldnt need 4 at all, since they are so sensitive you would actually need a lot more component sets than what you have just to keep up with one of these tweeters. You got the big bulky lookin black ones correct? i thought you did but wasn't 100 percent sure

Yet again, another gain and filters question(s)
BanginGMC replied to BanginGMC's topic in General Audio
So with my mids i do the following: 0. Have car on. 1. Take it from the top and set my Crossover to 150hz. 2. Put a CD in with good Mid bass. 3. Turn listening volume to them Max i play on a regular biases. 4. Then lower the Crossover setting untill the Mid Bass Speaker is getting too much Excursion. 5. Once the Mid Bass Speaker is getting too much Excursion start turning the Crossover higher so the sub isn't getting too much excursion. Sound about right? As of now though i have no Sub(s) so blending isn't an issue though but i do appreciate you taking the time to help me. I didn't see this, thank you i will read it today. i have read this before, thought you posted a official how to Really? Is it because mids and high play at such a high freq.? Is there a certain order i should tune my PDX4.100 at? Gain, then HP, then LP? -
ONLY have someone you TRUST 110% to do your install.. local shops WILL FUCK YOU. Bad grounds.. resulting in your nice ass equipment going For example: Audio Express, Home Of The One Dollar Wire Fire!

EDIT: basing my answer off the reasoning you need good subs, i didn't read much further on size, electrical, power wanted, etc

I know for Sub Amps set the Subsonic filter around your port tuning and LP 80-100 I've tried looking on google for pictures so i know what filters are on the PDX 4.100, went through multiple pages untill i just gave up. -
