The Big 3 Are: 1. negative battery wire to ground - just replace the negative batt. terminal and wire and ground it to the factory location 2. engine block to ground - replace the ground wire from the engine block to the chasie with a bigger wire (maybe 4 guage) 3. alternator to batt - add a fused wire from the postive post on you alternator (the one comming from the battery) to the postive terminal on your battery. DO NOT exchange wires just add a extra one. make sure it fused the same size as your factory fuse. hope thats helps Note on #2- Some cars have a batt-engine block connection stead of chassis to engine block... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have two wires coming from my stock alt, one wire goes onto my POS and one wire goes onto my NEG.. I upgrade the wire coming from my Alt to my POS, correct? -- then leave the other wire alone, right? thanks guys.

Best to start out good!

Really will be install dependent but usually more cone area wins. + motor force My opinion is the 2 12s thats 24inches of cone area, you should move more air with them. BUT!!!!! THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION DEPENDS ON INSTALL! 25% equipment 70% install 5% beer EDIT: Nice username OP wow dude... did they have math at your school? no offence but those subs are round... area of a circle = pie x r^2 so 177 sq inches for the 15 and 2 12's have 226 total square inches of surface area... I don't think of it like that, yet.. that is the correct way. 12 + 12 is much more simple but thanks for the douche bag response

Are you talking about in the stock carpet behind the door handle?
-
You think 4 tweets would be too much? -- I need to be heard from faaaar away (w/out horns) so i might need all 4.. it shall be a challenge.

I was thinkin' of that, cause they would look amazingly sexy

Give you money, why bother? Cause you know i look nothing like your father I need a Red Bull... Yes Man, Jim carry red bull scene was AWESOME

I thought of that place too, but i'm going to do the velcro idea. I can't do the A pillars though cause i have no mounting depth room I will probably use all 4 tweeters, unless its harsh on my ears.. later today i'm going to PM you so i can ask some questions.
-
Yeah.. that place didn't work out. You guys were right, i think i'm going to put the next to the 6.5s.. it just BLOWS that its already carpeted. I'll have to get a razor blade and cut a radius out of the carpet then get one of those door handle drill kits and cut me a perfect circle. IM SO CLOSE THO! KnuKonceptz didn't give me jack for speaker wire.. 4 channel amp with 12 feet of speaker wire, ha.. i got 2 runs of it then i had to use some off my spool, so its blue from Knu then clear from Monster.

lol bored much? i'm definitely going to go with SDS when i deaden my doors. thanks for the reassurance (like i need any... ) haha yeah pretty much and welcome

4 Channel Amp, Input Channel Question
BanginGMC posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I have a PDX 4.100 and (2) 6.5 Alpine Type R component sets, what do i set the input channel too? I think 1+3/2+4 but the way Alpine worded this shit on the manual has me lost. I just want it so each 6.5 gets 100wrms. "Setting this switch to 1 + 3/2 + 4 will sum the CH-1 and CH-3 input and send it to CH-3 while the CH-2 and CH-4 inputs are summed and sent to CH-4" Thanks guys. -
This is what i'm thinking for tweeter placement

Update! Well, one thing i DID NOT think of is how i was going to run the speaker wire from inside the door to the inside of the cab.. my truck does not have any power windows or anything so there is no opening for wires. SO... i had to improvise. Door cut for speaker clearance, the edges are really sharp and gagged so i coated them up with duck tape I drilled 3 holes so i could run this tubing through, i coated the tubing in electrical tape Ghetto i know.. but hey, gotta do what i gotta do.
