The Gang Signs make this video a fail. Do you have stock interior speakers? Also, why does it seem that sub woofers make people turn into OGs? hahaha I was shootin the video and those dudes showed up so I figured i'd get um in it. lol Not stock speakers. Why do you ask? I was wondering because the vocals were lacking, yes.. its a video of the system and i know it could be misleading. I like your wood skills.

Amp Suggestions ~ around 4k

Me personally do not like threads like the one i am making currently.. but i just need suggestions for my brother. He's getting (2) 15" BTLs for a 99 Dodge Dakota RT. I need amp suggestions, either.. (2) 2k amps that can be strapped OR (1) 4k amp The amps can be around 2k or 4k. We've thought about AQ2200 and SAZ-4500D Thanks, BanginGMC. -

Don't get the PDX4.100 Get the PDX-F4 Because i like to make things complicated No, but it's easier on the amp if it's 1ohm instead of .5 so.. thats why. AQ is the winner. -
yes, steve at FI wanted to go in a different direction than nick so they branched off and steve started his own brand Ascendant Audio, the companies are completely unrelated regarding owners and employees, but the technology is very very similar, if you look at an fi q vs an AA havoc you will find them very similar. both use teh same surrounds and spider structures, i have seen both and the build quality on both drivers was superb I currently run 2 Ascendant audio havoc 15's in a sealed enclosure, they slam pretty good, but they sound incredible both teh fi Q and the Ascendant audio Havoc are designed for sound quality first and loudness second, it does the first VERY well, and still manages to do a damn good job on the second. the havoc is alllmost as loud as the fi bl to the ear, but the bl shaves a few more db at the meter. The mayhem is ascendant audio's answer to the FI BTL, overall i would say they are an even match, though i would still choose Mayhem because to my ears they seem to hit the higher bass a little harder then the btl, but below 45 hz for both subs it is a dead heat. the SMD series is jsut insane, that's all i got to say about it, i don't have another sub to really compare it to that i have actually heard before, but if you want to ask me " is it louder then the btl?" or "does it beat the Mayhem?" the answer will be "yes, deffinately" That guy proved in the same post that he has absolutely no knowledge of woofers or the company that makes his woofers. His post = Well yeah.. we all know that lol but i just love reading that the SMD is amazing, makes it easier when i send the money out for two lol

Are you kidding? There are way too many options without budget. You can go with any decent brand and can get two 2ks or a 3.5-5k amp. I think we're going to go with the AQ3500, and no.. i wasn't kidding -

Do active head units have subsonic filters?
BanginGMC replied to jrod1050's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
whats wrong with a fmod? X2 ///M5. I'm sure you have a good reason for staying away from them. also can anybody recommend a half way decent external crossover. I really just need a high pass crossover because the amp im using already has a low pass on it Try Alpine. -
Wish i could find a fucking tape measure Here's a funny story that happened to me today. Police were in the turning lane three cars in front of me, light turned green.. they flipped a bitch and got behind me, me thinking "fuck.." so we're driving no and they speed up and pull in front of me.. i think to myself, "thank god" then! they pull on my side and go TUUURRN TTHHHEEE MUUSSIICCC DOWWWNN while making a hand notation like hes turning the knob on my head unit hahaha fucking porkers!

Recently I sold an AQ2200 to CrownVic, he was a great buyer and kept me updated on the status of his payment until the day it left his hands He did not have Pay-Pal but we worked around that and he sent me a Money Order in the mail I did not get a sketchy vibe from him, and i feel like the AQ2200 is in goooood hands Only CON was the shitty hand writing jkjk In the future if CrownVic wants to buy your product have no fear --BanginGMC

Running new wires for H/U
BanginGMC posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I don't want to use any of the wiring that comes from my truck. How would I run new wire and what wires would I have to include? I don't need speaker wires because my amp powers my speakers Head Unit is http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/In-Dash_CD_n_DVD_Receivers/1-DIN_CD_Receiver/KDC-MP342U Truck in sig. -
eBay for mainstream products such as sub woofer packages.. really cheap deals.

That's kind of my concern too, I don't want to cause a hazard under any situation... This is what I'm thinking now, not sure how strong it'd be... Getting some strong wood, securing it with the factory bolts in the rear cargo area as like a "floor", then attaching wood with glue\wood screws to build sides\a compartment for the batteries to the wood flooring, and then finally getting battery hold downs screwed into the wood... Do you think that would be strong enough to not rip apart in a roll over? I know it depends on what kind of wood...I'd use whatever's the strongest.. Its wood bro, any kind of wood will break in a roll over, fuck... engine blocks break in a roll over, rides get torn apart in roll overs. Imagine building what you want to build then throw it off the roof of your house, if it wouldn't break then i'd say its good to go. Or do the same with taking a sledge hammer to it and hitting it as hard as a human bean can possible hit it. A accident like a roll over can pretty must destroy anything in its path, ya feel me? I'd say welded metal. Yeah, I think you're right. I can secure the METAL battery tray to my cargo area with bolts...As far as the box...Secure it to the factory bolts I suppose? It'll rip off the bolts though in a collision? I think if I'm in a roll over I'm screwed anyways but there's no harm in minimizing possible projectiles...
