I have evrything ready, except i need about 10 feet extra of 0 guage wire for the big 3. Whats the best 0 gauge wire you can buy oh and i need a rca cables good ones not cheap. What is the best website to buy it from. Also im not going to put an extra battery. my friend has 2000 watts rms and he only did the big 3 and his voltage does not drop at all Don't think like that. People on her will tell you welding cable FTW. Others will tell you Knukonceptz.com FTW.

It doesn't look too complicated to duplicate.

3/4 volume on HU....
BanginGMC replied to mrbojang's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Don't plan on calling on asking the company and ask if the head unit clips at 3/4 volume.. they will tell you it does not clip. In my dodge ram the kenwood clips at 33 out of 40 i believe -
Waiting for my SMDs, XS D3100s, and DC Alt, to come in the mail!

BIG speed bump in getting my SMDs bumpin
BanginGMC replied to BanginGMC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I am already set on my 3500s My DC 320 will do 180 idle haha In the beginning i was skeptical because there wasn't much reviews/videos on them, but i'm glad i ordered them. You can find a decent amount of information on them now, as well as videos. -
BIG speed bump in getting my SMDs bumpin
BanginGMC posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Okay guys i ran into a problem, i called DC Power and they said they DO NOT have a dual alternator kit for me and without one i WILL have major voltage drop. (I TOLD THEM MY SYSTEM HAS 10,000 WATTS ~ rough estimate) I DO NOT want to drop really low because this system will be a DAILY DRIVER, so i will be playing a lot and i don't want to limit the usage or anything of the sort because of voltage drop. The biggest alternator DC Power had for me is a 320 Amp w/ 180 idle. (I'd really like to go with this company) The Sub Stage; (2) 15" AA SMDs (3500W power handling ~per sub) (2) AQ3500D.1 (1 ohm power @ 14.4V @ < 1% THD 4300W x 1 ~per amp) (4) XS Power D3100s The Front Stage; (2) Alpine Type R 6.5 Component set (1) PDX 4.100 Now! I did NOT buy the AudioQue amps yet, because DC Power told me i would have voltage drop... (also only bought (2) D3100s so far, don't know if the other 2 will be needed now.) (This is where you guys come in) ... I was thinking about going with a sub amp stage that'll satisfy both SMDs rated power, i want (1) sub amp that'll satisfy both untill a dual alternator kit comes out and then i'll upgrade my sub amp stage. I tried calling DC to see if 7k will cause low voltage drops, but theyre close... do YOU think it will cause low drops? Suggestions anyone? -

BanginGMC replied to BanginGMC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
6k should move it nicely & i hope it will be! It was what i was looking for! I just called DC and talked to Kyle and ordered myself a 320 amp alt I told him that i'll be running 7k and have a big battery bank and he said i should be okay. I've always wanted to try a Sundown Audio amp, i hope its as good as everyone says. Yes, i'm buying really good equipment. I'm planning on having this system for... well, ever lol -

I was thinking about getting the 7k2e for both of the SMDs but Andrew called me and i figured i'd go with that. I seen your videos on youtube before and am watching some now. How does the sundown amp like the voltage its getting compared to the 7k2e? -
Figured so, fuckin' echeck haha.

I disagree and agree with this. Cable is cable, yes.. but look at the company and strand count. Some companies have a thick ass jacket with less strand count while other have less jacket with high strand count. Below on the left is Stinger PRO 1666 strand 4 Gauge (Black) and on the right is KnuKonceptz KLM 4 Gauge (silver pearl) - pretty substantial difference in the two cables......

DJ from AudioQue said the same thing but in different words lol He told me over the phone that setting your gain with an O-Scope or DMM is only good for the volume which is on the head unit at the time you set the gain, and we don't listen to the radio at the same vol. all the time lol -

Stay away from Hifonics, think of them as knock off jordans.. i do agree with phatboi though! If i were you i'd get a sundown audio amp from ebay for around 5 bills, based on your questions get a 1500d. You are aware of that you need to buy an after market battery for your car and maybe even an alternator? Also, don't go buying on of those purddy boxes from the nice man at the stereo store down the street............ It takes power to make power. -

Yes, all D3100s are secondary!!! None under the hood! I forgot to mention that. Don't be sorry for the novel, its exactly what i wanted! How did you like the SMD on 3k? What did you have your box tuned too? Do you have ANY videos? How do you like the Alt from DC? Have you tested it to see if it does what it claims? I just got off the phone with Andrew from Argent Audio, he called because he noticed i was in a pickle and he let me know he's a dealer for Sundown Audio and we talked about getting me a couple SAZ-3500s OH! and we should see some more pictures on the box tonight ..i realized i asked a bunch of questions lol
