    DB Electrical alternators any good?

I had the 200 amp in my lincoln and no problems at all. I liked it, but as rodney said, "HO alternators aren't gonna be cheap. Look to spend 4-500 dollars on one. Oh and the ones that are cheap, usually don't last long". You really get what you pay for when it comes to electrical. However from my experience i was satisfied for the money i spent on it. The only reason i bought it, was because nobody makes one for my car.
  2. Your right, as it gets warmer i will begin to tear my old system out and start this one. Thanks for the thoughts and input fellas.
  3. I have no idea, but if it doesnt pound im going to be really pissed off. They look nice, but i have my doubts.
  4. I could take some pics, they dont have any weight to them. And they are real small, I was just curious if anyone had ever used one before.
  5. Thats the style amp, but wrong numbers. I have the v2 2500. If you go up to the upper left and click on critical mass- then amplifier then UL amps, its the second from the top. I also have the v2 800 for highs. Bought it as a package deal.
  6. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone hear has any experience with critical mass amps. I know they are crazy money but that isnt my concern. I just want to know if they can throw out decent power. I had picked up the v2 series pretty cheap and have not used them yet. I didnt want them, but my buddy needed money for his house. Any input good or bad would be nice. I have put a side the money for a sundown 1500d for the summer, but in the mean time i was thinking of swaping my pdx 1000-1 for the critical mass v2 sub amp. Should I do it? (the v2 are the smaller black ones)

    Your first system...

1991 GMC Jimmy, Clarion head which I loved. One sub amp by power acustiks 1200 watts, I had bought it from a traviling road show. It was old school kind of like the apachie series but it was chrome and 600 watts per side, it was two amps in one with the meters infront. My subs were 6 10 inch woofers 3 mtx I believe 3000 series i could be wrong they were all black and raised MTX logo on the front. And 3 JL 10 w1. The JLs came out of a triple 10 box i had bought from tweeter and the MTX cam from circut city. Zero gage wire and a high amp alternator. My box was .75 cubes per chamber i had built by Boomer Mcloud. Those were the days, i miss that truck.

Thanks for the info, Might stick with btl 12s, do you think there will be loss of output firing them forward. Trunk rattle get on nerves.

I have a 200 amp alternator and one run of 1/0 back to the battery. I have about $1000.00 for subs and i have the money for the amp. I would like to stick with the saz-1500 because its fused on the amp. But the saz-2000 looks so nice I really want it. Yes i will be running a second battery. I have yellow top now and i want to get two of the same. I would lke to get Xs 3100.

hey bassahaulic, I like the idea of 2 15s, the only reason I was considering the 10s was because of space. Do you think I could fit 2 btl 15s with the right box? I have thought about taking the backseat out and doing an 18 but that might be a little much for my car.

Sorry, Im looking for real lince low end and decent out put. I listen to rap and rock, im not looking to shatter my windshield but i would like the car to be full of bass. Maybe 140s or so. I want to nice custom trunk with a nice set up. Also im not looking to compete. This is for me as a daily system
  14. Hey guys lookign for some insight. I have a 2002 lincoln ls, i was looking at (4)10 inch BL subs or(1) 15 inch sub built to specs both set ups on a saz-1500 or saz-2000. Budget not really an issue. The enite trunk is going to be used no spare tire. Which one Would you choose? Recommendation also welcome
