ssd looks great but would the Q be worth the difference
flemmz76 replied to flemmz76's topic in Fi Products
Thanks , thats a good techninal way to describe it. Maybe if I ever have time I can build a box to hear the diff, its allways fun to play around with car audio..If anyone has done this please let me know what happend.. thanks -
Hey whats up (rookie ) here. so im in oregon and no one has even heard of FI but I found it and it looks well worth the $. I have a nice 1.7 cuft slotported box tuned to 34hz , thats per sub...... Had some12"-d3 that did good but just could not handle the pma1200da amp i was running so im buying FI for sure , but I need some help on whitch would work out for me the best..The SSD or the Q? What I want is some brain shakin bass thats intence but also a sub i can listen to with music not just rap. My budget is right at the SSD 12, but if I stretch my wallet I could get the Q 12 .... But would it be worth it for what I want???? I read that PB power would make your sub prone to (peaking) is this something that I want or not? My amp is a alphasonik pma1200da , 2000 x 1 at 2ohm but with my stock alltinatore at 85 amps I am not close to making that many watts, but I will replace it someday.. Would love some input from everyone on Fi subs thanks a mill.....................

I was doing some thinkin this week. Can you guys help? So I have been running 1 ssd 12d2 in 4ohm off my alphasonik1200da, not in 2 ohm because my weakass alternator only has 85 amps altogether. I have a 60 amp fuse in line and it has never blown. So I figure im getting about 40 to 58 amps to the alphasonik at any given time. So thats about 400 to 650 watts of power at best to the ssd12. My box is on the small side at 1.6 cuft with the sub in it tuned to 34 hz. I plan on getting a high output alternator in the future. My question is a hard one to describe. Would I get a noticeable difference in sound? More bass ? How much more bass would you think if the box was around 2.2 cuft at 32-34 hz.... If its alot more output I might not need another ssd, at least for me. I know I can just build the box to find out but thought I would ask your opinions first. Thanks.. -

We found this place in south west oregon on are way to the redwoods. He's right at home in the northwest This place is great, and the pics just dont do it justice. They have trained most of the cats to roar on command and you can feel it in your chest.

You want some more you got it.. This lake is 4 x 6 miles around, the drive around is 33 miles . The pinnacles, about 10 miles from crater lake. They are taller then you think. top right corner Great camping and so much to see. With all the view points to stop and take pic's it took us 9 hrs to drive around the lake, and thats just starring at the same lake from some where else. I could'nt stop..The average rim is 1,000 ft above the lake with a peak of 2,000 ft lets just say my woman was'ent going to walk it and I think I would of been hurt'n since were 7,000 ft above sea level. The next day was the pinnacles which can be 100 to 200 ft high , their amazing and bazzar at the lest.Did not see any bear thank god but saw a couple heards elk and some deer, and alot more. Thanks...............

I'm a little late on the thread but had to look. I absolutely love these car's they are so much fun. My second car was a 90' gt lowerd and being a bass head since before I even had a car I had to put 4-10" orions in it off a rf punch150 hit 142.2 at the dash , I thought I had it all bass, speed and handleing.. Loved it but had to sell , to many tickets it sucked so bad , had it for 60,000 miles though. the best tires are the firehawk sz50 insane grip in wet weather. So when all the tickets came off I bought a 91' lx with a saleen body kit , a friend sold it to me for $2,200 in 2002 . kinda beat up but , did I say I love though's cars.. I kept the fiberglass box I made for the 4-10's and just refaced it for 4-12" Jl's and ran a kicker zr600 to them I never had it metered but it was great..They handle so good its sick!! Thoughs where the days..Thanks for the memories........
