got my Q on ~1600 watts its quite happy. how did you set your gain? your EQ? are you using bass boost? bass boost or gain knob? loudness setting on the pioneer head units. x-over settings.

even on a 3000D @2 ohms? or is 1600 to much or are we looking more towards 2k-2.5k rms?
-
i probably give a demo every other day at work, haven't heard any negative reviews yet. all tho people look at me funny when they ask how much my amp was and i tell them. it is the 3k tho, the 1k or 1200D is usual what i recommend to people even if its from db-r.

would the 15" work well with a 3.8^3ft box?

i have my saz-3000D and the sax-100.2, if these amps ever die i would be surprised. however if they do and the one shop that carries local in my area (and i like the guys there.) will get a visit from me and a stack of cash. i have all ready invested ~3k in to my car and i like it the way it is. my biggest thing is i only buy from people i like, if the guys at a shop are dicks or don't sound like they know what they are talking about i won't do biz with them. as far as a demo car instead of an open room make an amp rack with a few different amps of about the same power and let them cycle through the amps and see if they can hear the difference if they like one over another they will get it. people like to play with things, its just human nature. another selling point you can make is that these products will last for a long time if there taken care of. this is true for most things so it is the truth, but you need to feel out the customer or ask there tech lvl of knowledge and support them accordingly.

i would say take the power that it would make at a 2 ohm load and double it. Rated power output ----RMS power, 2 ohm linkable/dual mono 3000W x 1CH ----RMS power, 1 ohm mono 1500W x 1CH x2 = 3k ----RMS power, 2 ohm mono 800W x 1CH x2 = 1600 ----RMS power, 4 ohm mono 400W x 1CH x2 = 800

no only use the 12V wires, also if your computer PSU has more then 1 12V rail that could be part of your problem. i have a PSU that will do 90 or 100 amps and 1k watts. the bigger problem for computer psu's is that there very sentivie and will shut down if it thinks it see a short, i can knock a power supply off line with some multi meters. get some sealed battery's and a trickle charger thats what i use. well not sealed for mine because my batts are out side. also cheep psu do not put out rated for long, or list there peek output power witch is for the power surge of start up. radio shack sells 20-25 amp ac / dc switching supplys that i like. you just need to find what works for you as a test bench power supply. hear are some old pics of my rig, it has more wiring now. and spare equipment that came from the good ol days.

i would ask ant about that.
-
shouldn't you need ~900 amps for testing strapped 4500D's? and that would make a great blow the video.
-
what happened to SPL tiles?
-
i think the new 2500D's are are as beastly as my old 3000D. i hope you love it and it treats you great.
-
any chance on a 100.3 (3 way amp)?
-
you can cut little slits in your carpet that will make your wiring look neater. nice for a 10" tho.
-
spreading out i see bassman3.

2 10" SSD's off of 1200 watts, any benefit to adding BP power to them besides that i could add more power later? would it make the subs to stiff? would they not be as loud? would the add'ed cooling and spider make the sub's last longer? thank you for your time and, i hit 142.* with my 15" Q in a 2.8 cuft aero port box. it makes me happy wile sounding great. *bad white boy dance*
-
its going in my girls car, she can get knob happy, i was more wondering if the BP changed the way the sub sounds or any thing like that. this is going to be more of a SQ setup just on the cheep, but thank you for making the copper coil starndered.
-
how much would a re cone be if she wanted to move to more power later?
