Check ebay then check the apple store, some lower end older models are selling for very close to what you can buy new ! You need a DMM ( digital multi meter) Just put the + on the VC's + lead and the - on the VC's - lead.

You probably have it on outline or linear+. I did that once and it totally screwed me up and i couldnt figure out what to do. Its really annoying Right under the add reply/post new toipc ( on the top of the page) click STANDARD. It should go back to normal

Well even with the 2 2.25" ports i still get some port noise But its definetly louder than it was sealed
