Well this was gonna be my temporary box for only 3 monthes so it wasn't a big deal to me, if this was gonna be my long term box I would got as many recomendations as I could, and I would of found a wood shop instead of using a jigsaw to cut everything. But the box is built and it sound pretty good givin the fact its poorly powered and in a house. -
""something like that and i know this pic isn't even close"" I said it right there, it wasn't even close. it wasn't close to being 800x1000

Some have been helpful, the one that helped me build my house box for my xcon, or the one where I showed my first box build which wasn't to bad for being my first. and I have made a couple helpful comments here and there. -
here are the vids first is me playing bass, I love you This second one is just funny to me, I saw it doing this while running a 20hz sine wave and i had to record it.

Here is a preview while i wait for my video to upload.

? I thought this was off-topic, I thought you can talk about anything in here, and be open minded???? Whats the point of Off Topic section if we can't be open and random?? People post pics of there dogs and wifes in here, that is no more random or out there than what i typed. You just must not like me. I'm a nice guy you could ask about 500 people who would agree. -
u must not of got what i read, i mentioned that it is smaller than that, the picture is only 300x135 pixels in size, so I don't know whats going on.
-
I am instaliing the xcon now, I will have video posted before noon.
-
I love my xcon, but If I had the spare moeny I would defiantely get one of these for an extra sub :)
-
I was gonna do a temporary sealed enclosure but some guys talked me out of it, but I have heard they are very accurate sealed, you lose some output/volume, but it sounds very tight. From what I have heard.

SSA Desktop Wallpaper thread...

I so agree with this, please make awesome colorful xcon backgrounds please. -
it won't be in a box until this afternoon, but I will do that, remember its only gonna get 300rms, but we can see how awesome it will be off of only that much.
-
ya, I was planning on spending a night on a simple sealed enclosure, but some people on here influenced me otherwise. but according to them this enclosure will take full advantage of the 300 watts rms im going to be giving it. its gonna be in my house until i get my license back in april.

Ya i am kind of a perfectionist in car audio, so if i would have had access to all the proper tools it would probably even be better. it took me 3 and a half days. and the first 2 days was an all-nighter so i spent like 20 hours non-stop at first then slept like 12 hours and then worked on it more. i do wish I had a table saw and something to cut a exact hole for the sub. I cut the subs hole with a jigsaw. and all the edges with a jigsaw. and the first two cuts where with a bent blade. and thanks.

Here are the last pics the paint isn't completely dry but good enough for you guys to get the end result. I know it needs about another 2 coats of paint but i'm out of paint, and this is only my temporary/test enclosure for the house for my xcon, until I get my super nice one getting made by audible customs. Enjoy! http://i883.photobucket.com/albums/ac40/gadgeteer123/100_0105.jpg

The rest of the pics are coming
-
here are the pics these are of a minute before i started painting, and then the last one is my first coat of paint. first coat I will post a couple more pics once the painting is done.
-
I am putting the pics up they will be up in ten minutes, I only have the first coat of paint on but you will get the idea.
-
i re-read what u typed, so it should be good then. 2 inches is plenty. since the hole is like 1 inch.
-
i have a 15" xcon and there is gonna be pvc pipe ports behind the magnet how much clearance does there have to be for proper airflow, it is only getting 300rms in this enclosure.
-
huh, i wasn't talking about port clearance, the pole vent/ voicecoil vent is 2 inches away from the side of the port tube?? thats what i was worried about, the back of the subwoofer is facing the side of my pvc pipe port and it is only 2 inches away from the pipe.
-
will it be fine with only 2 inches? it is a round pvc port.
-
Well thank you now I just gotta wait forever to get a sundown. i'm broke until mid-summer to fall
-
oh so the 2 inches of clearance isn't enough , its already built. and they are 4" ports.
-
Ya I always wondered how sundown compared to hifonics?? I am on my second hifonics amp, I like them but I have heard much otherwise, and now that I have a quality subwoofer aka ssa xcon I was curious to exactly how much better sundown is compared to hifonics? Not as in watts output but in the actual sound quality itself.
