ya, thank god my stereo is only one xcon, otherwise i'd probably kill myself lol. Theres a guy who lives in the town next to mine who has 2 12" solo-x's professionally installed, and his ears have already bleed twice and he is only 22. Some people are a little dumb...- 22 replies

With a sucky front setup, you're simply relying on the rears (which I assume are 6x9s) to make midbass in the 80-200Hz area. With a good front setup, you'll never miss the rears. Easy, right? I don't know if you guys realized, but i did post this asking for suggestions to improve my car stereo setup for free, it does says I have no money in one of the posts in this topic. So why are you guys not even paying attention to what I asked and are suggesting deadener and new front speakers that will cost me a lot of money that I don't have and won't have for months. -

I just got my new ssa xcon today in the mail. i hooked it up in a 3.6 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 32hz. It is only its test box until I can afford a proper enclosure. Its getting 1600rms from a hif\onics brutus amp, and this thing sounds great and goes loud, I will post up pictures and videos tomorrow once I fine tune it to the best it can get under the circumstances. I can't wait until I can get a new amp and enclosure this thing will rock. If you have any questions feel free to ask. -

................................ i never said a knew everything, I know I don't know lots of things yet people tend to not understand this and they think I am not believing them which is false, I do believe what you guys are saying, buts its called debate, i am a debate kind of person and I like to talk things over thoroughly so it is well discussed. And I do know that that is why headphones hurt more, thats a given. and it really is in my storage shed, I really can't understand why you guys don't believe this, its not something that was hard to build so why doesn't anyone believe me that it exists.- 106 replies

wow you guys gotta get technical, I can't believe how rude people can be in this world. would you rather put together a ghetto amp or pay over a $100 for something that does almost the same thing, only difference is the $100+ one sounds little better but cost tons more. but seriously I said built,I didn't say built from scratch, and yes you did build a sandwich. anything you put together from other pieces is building. I did take batter connectors and a soldering iron, and headphone jacks and re-wired volume knobs, and a power switch, it was meant to be simple omg. experiments, this kind of stuff is really starting to get to me. -

Its in my storage shed so idn about pics, but it was and amp out of some old premium computer speakers from the late 90's the sub blew, so i took it apart and I wired it to run off of two 9 volts and the headphones where getting about 2.5watts per channel which was a tiny bit overkill but I kept internal volume set at one setting, those headphones could sure make my ears vibrate and tingle lol and when a deep not hit i sweat i could feel the air moving idn if it really was but it sure felt like it (in my ears). and i put it all in one of those radioshack diy kit enclosures. -

why? i'm just trying to make some conversation to pass by the time, and to see if anyone sees any setup flaws that I am missing. and this is the off-topic section anything goes in here. I like to overly make sure of everything I don't just like to hear something i like to know the facts and and links to extra in depth info, When i want to learn something I want to know every aspect of it. If everyone would answer my questions with great detail or links to a site with great detail explaining how it works, and exactly how to set it up then i would be ok thanks and that would be all there would be no debate or doubts. I know most of you know your stuff but it never hurts to want to know the whole story.
