Eclipse 8062, Need help on install

well I can't do anything to the doors, I can't modify the car. Not my car. so basically whatever I do to it needs to be able to be completely undone.

Eclipse 8062, Need help on install

ok, well be prepared to help me with phasing issues in about a week. If anyone else has more suggestions go at it.
  3. I Just got a pair of Eclipse 8062 6.5" mid-bass's with there crossovers, and no tweeters for $60. I thought it was a good deal so i got them, I needed a upgrade from my polk db 4x6's. I tried the eclipse out in the house in a quickly made box and they sounded great, but I cannot get them to fit in the car where they will be completely sealed like they need to be. My speaker holes are 4x6" on the top of my dash facing the windshield in each corner (I will post pics). I need help figuring out a good solution to where they will sound good and look kinda decent in the car. I can't put them in the doors and i am not allowed to do any permanent modifications to this car. So what are some good options?? Also the magnets on these just fit through the 4x6" hole so I was thinking about cutting some 1/4" wood to fit nicely on the dash and paint it to match, but then I was wondering if the windshield would be a phasing problem, because my car already has a lot of phase issues.

15" xcon in a temporary infinite baffle setup.

well when I played a 13hz sine wave I could hear this deep low rumble that was similar to the deep growl of some muscle cars. I only could hear up to 19,000k when I tested myself, I think the reason most people can't believe this is because they never have experienced that low note and may never experience it. I am autistic and I can notice a lot of things most people don't. when i switched to 12hz I heard nothing but i could feel notes down to 9hz. This is my last post on this topic so you don't have to worry about this dragging on.

I never did wreck this sub when I did any of this monthes ago, and it is now in my car properly powered in a box. and that was a interesting post and I never said I could hear 5hz, the lowest I could hear was 13hz. I do have aspergers also.

8" mid-bass drivers to keep up with xcon

I have been thinking sealed, but I don't want to stop using the enclosure I spent $400 on. Also I am measuring the voltage using the car factory voltage gauge, I have checked it for accuracy and it was dead on compared to the multimeter. I just need a better amp and a new alternator, my hifonics amp isn't the greatest for distortion. But the better alternator will have to wait until my next car. I have played with the crossover settings, i have tried setting it from 60hz to 90hz with 12db and 24db slopes. so far 70hz at 24db sounds the best, but 60hz has the least voltage dip.

well I think it might not being getting enough power, because the voltage never dips at 30hz but when a 70hz note plays my voltage drops really low.

well now that my xcon has had many many hours of playing it is broken in and it itself can hit the higher notes, but i have noticed now that my amp is horrible at any high notes, it distorts and draws a lot more power, yes I know class d amps are better at the low notes, but I think I need a sundown amp now, gotta go save some money. I hope a sundown is good up to 80/90hz, it should be with all that quality. Before the xcon did die before it got broken in, now that this xcon got broke in all the way it hits much better, and I also found out the srs trubass was causing some cancellation also. Its always turned on by default on my radio. now at least I can focus on a new amp instead of all those mid-bass drivers.

8" mid-bass drivers to keep up with xcon

well the sub will be at 60hz at 24db, the 8" midbass at 50hz-100hz and the components from 90/100hz and up. I will need to play around with them a little once installed, so it may not be exactly that, but that is what i am going for.

8" mid-bass drivers to keep up with xcon

I was going to cross them from the lows at 50-60hz 24db slope and from the highs at 100-120hz at 12db slope

I was just thinking that with all the people with extreme amount of bass in there car, that someone would already have a driver that is good at this and they can just tell me what they use. But I will come up with a list for you to go through.

huh, I read your guidelines and in my question on page 4 I stated everything that the guidelines wanted me to, I truly don't know what else you are looking for. I followed the rules from the link on your signature.
