do both. Build your own, 1 ported and 1 sealed. You will then be able to choose which box will actually give you the bass you want instead of relying on us. It would make for a nice review as well

Looking for a larger sub to replace my two 10's
chrisommer replied to gonzala's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
are the infinity's currently sealed or ported? How big is the box you currsntly have? How much space are you willing to give up? And your budget, around 190? -
If you have the Q sealed and are wanting more output then I would build a ported box before buying a new sub. If you are still craving more output, I would then start searching for a new sub.

Here is a project we just finished. It is a stand for our booth at the International Sign Show. We can cut vinyls but cannot do shirts...

honestly man the only way to know is by doing it. Do you already have the L7's?

Ha 162. That must be a conservative number

Thats awesome! I need to talk my GF in to going with (2) sa-8's instead of (1) sa-12 to replace her memphis SE 10. I need to hear these bad boys.

Looks nice! Call me when you want to put some translucent graphics on that window. Maybe an IAK logo in the middle so you can still see those little monsters.

I need to pick a new phone
chrisommer replied to bigrank916's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
not a huge fan of the iphone either. My last 3 phones have been blackberry's and like M5 I will never get another blackberry. I have had my eye on the Nexus One.... The Lenovo Lephone looks nice as well -
awesome video. I like the guy jumping around in the background As well as the slow motion

I would go with the Sundown. The SAZ 1500 D is a great deal. You can get a new one for about 10 dollars cheaper than the alpine.

'Nuff said.

Can I ask what the loudest system you have heard consisted of? Are you wanting to be loud to impress people? I dont know any other reason why someone would want a system for just SPL. Unless you plan on competing, which I dont think you have mentioned.

your poll is all over the place. I thought I was bad on trying to make my mind up. People can recommend different subs all day long, but it will not do you any good. You will end up with a bunch of different suggestions and still be lost on what to choose. I suggest you read and study this page T/S Parameters explained - SSA Car Audio Forum This way you will be able to look at two different subs and compare them. If I were to suggest an SPL sub in your price range I would say the Sundown Nightshade 18 I see the 21" Death Penalty is a little out of your budget

My new HT set up in my BR. need a little help

The only specs it gives are "KD-122-K 12" (30.48cm) Fiber-composite cone passive" here is the link: http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/sw-12-ii-specifications/ Would I be better off getting a new passive radiator as well? I know Parts-express sells dayton passive radiators as well as subwoofers. -
Just recently acquired a pair of Klipsch Epic series CF-2's and a Klipsch SW-12. I am currently running the speakers off a yamaha rx 395. all circa 1995. The speakers sound amazing! They are able to get very loud and still play very clear. I love them. I cannot say the same for the sub. The sub was blown when I got it (got it all for free from pop). I am looking at putting in a new Dvc 4 ohm sub in it. I am not sure which I should go with. I was suggested a dcon or 187. The amp is 150 rms into 8 ohms The enclosure is a 12" bass reflex enclosure with 12" passive radiator. dimensions are 23.5" H x 15.625" W x 16.49" D. What sub would work best with this enclosure? Are there any other subs that you guys can think f that would work better? It will be used for both Movies and Music. I would like to keep it under $200.00 dollars. I know nothing about this type of enclosure, so I do not know what sub would work best with my enclosure. I was ready to flip a coin between the dcon and 187 but figured I would as you guys first. Thanks for the help

I have the opposite problem. Smalls usually are a little to big. By the time I wash and shrink they fit about perfect....... and my head is tooooo tiny to wear a hat, so my hat collection consists of 1 stalking hat I wear when its super cold. Hell, I dont even remember the last time I was able to walk out the store wearing my new pair of kicks. Nice detailed review!

He is pretty big already... his dad was 230lbs so I am hoping he will be about that. He plays with an American Bull dog who has a MASSIVE head. He is about 110 pounds and it looks to be all head, ha Older pics showing all 3 dogs. Bloodhound, english lab, and english mastiff.
