Wiring dual 1 ohm 15" SSD

I decided to wire my entire system myself. My question is wiring the dual 1 ohm 15 " ssd to the MTX X1000D mono bloc class d amp. Im okay with everything else. Just need to know how to wire the subwoofer to the amp to 2ohms..The amp is rated 1000W rms at 2ohm. Thanks in advance.

    Box for 15" SSD

It will be going into a 2008 Nissan Frontier with the back seat folded up giving me the AREA that i listed above. Ive got a MTX XThunder X1000D that pushes out about 1100W RMS. The sub is the 1 ohm version with the flatwind coil. I mainly listen to old school rap and alot of reggae. Im looking for loud deep bass, one of the main reasons I went with the 15. I will list my complete system below. Amplifier: MTX XThunder X1000D Subwoofer: 15" SSD (flatwind coil) Headunit: Pioneer 3200DVD Front Speakers: Alpine Type R 6X9 Rear Speakers: Alpine Type R 6.5" 4guage Amp Kit Long drawn out bass? or quick punchy bass? Prob more on the long drawn out bass

    Box for 15" SSD

I just picked up a 15" SSD and everything else for my system other than the box itself. I have got no idea on the tuning frequencies and port sizes. Can someone help me out. Ive got about 30W X 18H X 116L room in the back of my truck. Would a prefab box sound okay? Thanks in advance
  7. Probably with the right electrical and steady voltage around 14 volts or so, yeah it should do rated power and then some hopefully. I would say get whatever amp is within your budget and dont worry about the watts (your sub wont see that 800 rms the whole time anyway since music changes). If you still cant decide then do a simple coin toss and call it a day. Is the sub D1? yea its the D1
  8. Ive got a 15" SSD with the flatwind coil option. Just wanting to know what amp would be better, and if the audio que puts out more than 870 @ 2ohm

I think Ive made my decision on an amp. The AudioQue aq2200d looks pretty good. (1300RMS) at 2ohm

Well like i stated above I have a 2008 Nissan Frontier. Ill the larger side of the back seat folded up. Im probably looking at 32W x 19H x 17D. Mainly looking for more of an SPL setup.

Just ordered my 15" SSD and cant wait for it to arrive. Now on to buying an amp for this little beast. It will be going into a 2008 Nissan Frontier 4.0L V6, enclosed in a 4.2cf. Ground Shaker box. My main concern is how much this sub can handle. Its the Dual 1 Ohm version along the flat wind coil option which Ive heard ups the power handling. Ive been looking around for an amp, Was looking at the Kicker zx1000.1 which puts out about 1100-1200W RMS, the MTX Xthunder X1000D, and the Alpine MRP M1000 all puting out similar rms W (1000-1200). I would like to go with the MTX for the reason that it is on sale for $269 on sonic. Ill include a product list below along with the model number to view the exact specs of all the components. Thanks in advance. Product Model # Fi Audio SSD 15" : 01915 MTX XThunder X1000D : X1000D Kicker ZX1000.1 : 08ZX1000.1 Alpine MRP - M1000 : MRP-M1000 Ground Shaker Box : 78421
