Would I Need A High Ouput Alternator?
steveo50 replied to HawkEye's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
150 is a pretty high aim but possible. find a forum for you car and look on there i think its called vehicle resignation? or some thing like that. the tuning verys from car to car correct me if im wrong. tuning you box the the resignation (or what ever the word is) of your car will help in competing. i may be wrong because im still learning also. -
I'd do 2 12s over one 15.

Yea they have a pic of it on their facebook. I don't really care much for the dust cap.

yea sundown amps seem to be one of the best but you pay that price for the best. -
hifonics is pretty good for what you are paying. i own a 1200 brutus idk the model number its older but not an old one. the mounting feel break pretty easy(mine are plastic) mine are broken, holding on by two feet right now. i have hooked up my friends rf 1500d to mine and yes you can hear a pretty good difference in being loud, its not huge but noticeable. it does not sound any better sound quality wise imo. i dont think any amp will damage your sub unless you have like a 2k amp full blast with one batt and 4gauge wire. you will prob blow the amp and the sub.
-
that sub looks soo sweet like that big magnet! im sure with 600 or 700 watts it will blow your mind. then it breaks in and it will fck your ears!
-
this looks like it will be cool!
-
yea i was thinking of inverting them, but im not sure yet. hahah yea stef i sat in a parking lot for like 30ish min trying to make sure the highs sounded good before i put that heavy ass box in.

Sorry no assembly of the box tthe guy called at 9 in tthe morning saying its done. I got everything in ttoday but waitting on tthe 2nd 15. Pics tonightt!
-
Thank you, The box will be done tomorrow. Its just the box the panels will prob take another week or so.
-
thank you sir. my box should be about even with the back seats. my truck is a tb and the one pictured is a Tahoe i think, so my trunk space is smaller. the pic is actual work that he has done. the pick of my truck is not even edited it right off my crapberry.

i know birch is lighter, less dust. but is there any thing that makes it better then mdf? the guy building my box is pushing me to do birch only charging me 50 bucks extra for it so its not breaking the bank or anything. does it sound better? im sure it will last longer. its for a daily system not after numbers i only meter when i get new stuff to see how much of a difference it made. edit: for bad spelling
