I got a few stetsoms coming in this week, all of them are mids amps, might be a good sub amp, let me ask about that before I go any further.

I am in a similar boat, I have compared a DC lvl4xl15 to a Mojo, in one car it is the same - you can't tell the diff. The only IA I have heard were the LI15s, they were nice. I did however just do a SAZ3000 on an AQ HDC315 in a Dakota and it rocked, I would post a vid, but last time I did that I got flamed...

Helloo CHOP! And Mikey and Steve, Thanks Mikey for the 1" plexi! I am Mike Heinicke, co-owner of Excessive Dbs here in Indianapolis and proud member/supporter of TEAM IAK SC! I will not be making any product recommendations outside the IAK circle nor will I engage in sales to any other forum member on SSA not flagged AIK and reccomended by Chop personally. That said all flagged IAK vehicles receive 10% off in my shop - that is all. Peep this trash...

I didn't he did not have enough to do that, I wanted to do the firewall too, but we have some budget constraints. So far it has made the overall ride much quieter though. Also Epoxying the door panels makes them very heavy and they tend to resist vibration better after that treatment.

Thank you Poppa Chop! I have bee slammed I got an 18 Fi BTL in a Blazer I am starting tomorrow and I have a Magnum I just Finished a box for (also with backlit frosted plexi) his has the Rams head logo with Magnum written underneath. Should be sick - heres a pic of the plexi and the kerfed port...

where were the LED's connected to? on the board or did you wire it to something else? A switch under the radio turns them all on at once 8 for the subs and 4 others (two in each amp)

US Amps USA-2000x ?????
DD9915D!!! replied to acrgator75's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Thats an old milotronics hack job from the old days. Thats most likely a 300x with a 2000x endcap on one end. If it were a real 2000x it would have 4 8awg power inputs and 4 8awg grounds. It would also be about 23inches long. looking at the pics I can see you have one end with 8 inputs total, looks a little smaller. Where did you get this from? -
Well, I got busy on Chicagofans amp rack and enclosure and wiring etc, and I took a second to do this.

Thank you sir, mr owner sir.

Here we go.... You gotta start somewhere - Mm-hmm... Well thats gotta go... 20 rivets and a few cuts later Hey look a trunk! Out with the shag, in with the, ok we need something better than this.... Ok lets just build a box pay no mind to the split in the mdf, lol, they were out of drill bits I needed I have my doubts.... looks a little weird... Painted ready for bedliner
-
Man you would be reallly pissed if I did a build log. I want to get everything done, THEN do the build log, otherwise it will turn into 55 pages of "Thank you sir, may I have anotha?". Trust me I got about 100 pics of the build so far, I will make on in about a week when a majority of the work is done.

Wait till you see the facia the subs are mounted in... 1 inch plexi with frosted finish, ftw. Thanks for the corn-hole tounging, Chop! lol!

I have seen on a few places here that people are noting the dif between using push teminals and a piece of 8AWG wire soldered to the tinsel leads and the ensuing point of both side of the discussion is "Well, that adds resistance" I will be posting a vid of my findings, seeing as how all talk is speculative, mine included. Testing one piece of 8AWG on a 1ohm coil - .01ohms Testing one piece of 8AWG by itself - .01ohms Testing one - Push Terminal - .02ohms Testing one + Push Terminal - .02ohms Testing one other - Push Terminal - .02ohms Further testing - I left the frame for an American Bass XFL12 D4(frame only) in the freezer for a week and its resistance reached 3.7ohms. This is not a difinitive test, the wind could have been blowing a certain direction on this day, humidity might have been above average, a bird that sat on high tension power line too long might have flown over my house, or my neighbor might have an unusually high iron content in his blood stream. Please cosider you may or may no have the same results.
